Overall great shoes. In a day an age where it seems like shoes are not made wide enough these stand out. I've often had trouble finding shoes that fit well while also looking good, but these do. Not only do they fit well but the build quality is nice; they use thick cloth, and Swede like materials all over. The Vintage indigo color way is also very striking. The only downside to these sneakers is the length, I would recommend going up .5 size, for example, I have a pair of adidas and Nike that are 11.5s but a 12 fit better in these. Overall though, they are great shoes that look good, fit good, and don't break the bank like Nikes nowadays. ... show more

I bought these 997H models to replace my aging NB 813 shoes that I wore for more years than I can remember. I’ve been wearing NB exclusively for many years now because they fit well and hold up better than other brands, while also offering better lateral support. I wear Good Feet orthotics, and it took a little effort to insert them in the new shoes. New shoes tend to be tight until they settle in a bit. Unfortunately, on the second day the orthotics started to squeak. I previously owned 3 pair of NB 813s and one out of the 3 squeaked while the other 2 remained silent. I didn’t want to live with the squeak again, so I searched for a remedy. First I tried sone talcum powder under the orthotics, which worked ok for maybe 10 minutes. Then I tried putting the orthotics on top of the insoles instead of underneath them, which worked perfectly until I went to take the shoes off and my socks caught on the front edge of the orthotics and locked my feet in the shoes. Then I had a true inspiration; I took the insoles out of my old 813s and put them in the new shoes, slipped the orthotics into the shoes and laid the new insoles on top of the orthotics. Voilà! The squeak is gone! I expect to be comfortably wearing these new NBs for several years to come. ... show more

They look good in person, and they fit my boyfriend perfectly. When I opened up the box, they looks like they might actually be way too big, but he tried them on and it was a perfect fit. First of all, I wear a women’s size 8 shoe. I have worn NB retro shoes for many years and love them! These fit nice and I prefer them over the 574. I ordered the Men’s size 7 and it fits perfect. Love the colors! Great fit.
