  • Comfort all the way!
Size: 8 Wide Color: White
It’s exactky what all the rwhat view pr visually wrote! Supports and cushions right where one needs it. I’m 35 years old and don’t have any medical issues, I have a normal arch and wide feet. But I couldn’t find sneakers that I could wear all day without feeling exhaustion in my feet. These shoes have changed it. They are like sketchers with the whole memory foam but made better. Stronger shoes with better soles and just all round therapy shoes for my soles! ... show more

  • Better than my custom orthotics and cost over 90% less
A month or so ago my insurance company and I spent an obscene amount of money for custom orthotics to ease the pain from arthritis. They worked pretty well. Then I had to do some yardwork after heavy rains.I looked at the back of the closet and found some very old beat-up New Balance cross-trainers that I didn't mind getting muddy. After several hours of outside work they felt very comfortable even though I wasn't wearing the orthotics, so I cleaned them up and wore them inside, too. They were better than the orthotics! I decided to buy myself a new pair of New Balance shoes and the customer service person suggested that this model was very close to what I had before. The new shoes were less than 10% of the price of the orthotics alone (not to mention the cost of the podiatrist appointments). The shoes are VERY comfortable, and, in black, they do not look so casual that I feel them inappropriate to wear practically everywhere. I wish they also came in brown so I would have a more complete wardrobe of New Balance shoes! NOTE: I noticed that the old shoes were 1/2 size larger than I usually wear,so I ordered the new shoes in that size also. They fit very well. ... show more

  • dont think its real leather.
Size: 7 X-Wide Color: White
Got em and when they arrived they smelled like plastic. They also came in a box which is not a new balance box. So i returned them and ordered from new balance direct. not the same shoe. The ones form NB smell like leather, they come in a NB box and feel like leather.

  • Doctor recommended.
Size: 10.5 X-Wide Color: White
Years ago, I had foot surgery for an injury following a fall. It was 6 months before I could even begin to walk again, but when I was okayed to start weight bearing, these specific shoes are what the surgeon recommended (with inserts). They are very supportive shoes, and are still what I wear to this day. I have severe arthritis in my foot from the injury and surgery. I have foot pain everyday and am a CNA that is constantly on my feet at work. I have tried other shoes, both New Balance and other brands, but nothing compares to these. The only downfall is that they only come in plain white (and black, I think), so they look quite boring. However, to me, comfort outweighs fashion. ... show more

  • Air-Grammas
Size: 9 Wide Color: White
Some New Balance shoes run a bit narrow and this style is one that does so the wide fits me better. The shoes are comfortably cushioned and offer decent heel and arch support. They'd be great for walking or jogging, although I'm too old for that and just appreciate the soft insides and the good cushioning of the sole. The length is as expected and since I usually wear an average width, the wide is a little roomy, but not much, where the average width was too snug when I tried that. I replace the laces that come with the shoe with elastic ones so when my feet swell during the day, the shoes never feel too tight. I certainly wish New Balance would keep the same styles over time in some of these standard varieties. It's frustrating to find a replacement when a tried and true style is no longer available and you have to find a new version. I liked the old 470 style, then had to switch to the 410 leather cross trainers which are now passe too. This is the closest I could find to those. ... show more

  • A shoe that is true to size! Yeah!!!
Size: 11 Narrow Color: White
I finally found a shoe that is very similar to NB623. The shoe itself does not have much of an arch support but I take out the insole and put in my arch support and it works fine. I have Charcot Marie Tooth Muscle Disease and these shoes make it possible for me to keep walking! I had ordered about 6 pairs of other NB shoes and had to return all of them as the 11 narrow was always too short. I do wish New Balance would add some more blue to the shoe in various places like they used to do to the 623, It is all white except for the large N on the side. They are comfortable and I look forward to putting them on first thing in the morning! I would definitely recommend this shoe to others are looking for a true size fit. ... show more

  • Great fit, lousy comfort.
I really love NB shoes, but these, despite the great fit, weren't quite up to normal quality standards. They were super lightweight, but the outer soul and heel are very hard without much bounce. I have plantar fascia and arthritis issues in my feet, so I really need something that has a little more give and support. They are great as long as I don't have to stand or walk in them very long. So sad. ... show more

  • Great all purpose shoe.
Size: 8 Wide Color: White
This is a great all purpose shoe. My foot doctor recommended it for extra depth for my new orthotics. But it isn’t too deep when wearing without orthotics. I am a wide width and it fits just right. The toe box has room for my toes to wiggle without feeling too tight or too loose. It isn’t too stiff, like some other sneakers, yet it feels durable. ... show more
