I've had a hard time finding a good fit in athletic shoes lately--no standardization! I've tried about 5 different pairs, two in Reebok and 2 in New Balance, both brands in same size. Reeboks were so tight I couldn't even get them on. NB were different styles; one fit nice and cushy; these fit but feel a little like my feet are in a vise on the bottom and all around. Still, I'm hoping they'll stretch out just a tad. Come on manufacturers, dangit, get your crap together and care about the customer who has to wear these things. I'm about ready to go to some generic as your quality has really gone down hill. They're all made in China anyway! Might as well save a few bucks. I'm counting on NB stability, so we'll see how they hold up. ... show more

This particular version of New Balance shoe is the closest to what they were years ago when New Balance was my shoe of choice. The quality seemed to deteriorate over the years and I quit buying them. The reviews seemed good on this style so I tried them again. So glad I did. First shoes I could tolerate in a very long time. I bought a second pair. These shoes were a lifesaver for me! I was having trouble with my feet hurting so my doctor told me to get these shoes. Brand and model specific. I've been wearing them every day and also walking 2 mi every day in them.

I have plantar fasciitis and these are the only shoes that work for me. I even bought another pair for working out in at the gym. I know they’re not gym shoes but they’re the only shoes that don’t make my feet hurt.

I purchased these because I used to wear New Balance years ago, but then tried Asics and Skechers. They are definitely durable and sturdy, but could have more cushion and a better arch support for me. I would not use these to work out in without adding more cushion. I wore them all day for 2 days in a row and my feet were pretty sore and tired. They were about 1/2 what the other brands cost, but now they are 50% off so I am a little upset that I couldn't have gotten them at that price. ... show more

I wear these for work, great support. I wish they lasted longer and had the higher arch support like they used to, but over all I have stayed with these shoes for more than 15 years.
