I wore the New Balance 574 Core women’s shoes during a fast-paced educational tour through Italy, Switzerland, and France last summer, and I can’t imagine not finding these. I explored iconic sites, including the Roman Colosseum, all while dealing with super hot conditions and even some rainy days. Ordered these for myself daughter. Shoe fits as expected. It has a good amount of tread on the bottom, perfect for everyday wear. I wanted a more streamlined sneaker compared to my chunky athletic ones and this look works. However, they are not real comfortable, and the right heel slips. These are my new favorite pair of shoes. I wear them everywhere and they're super comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and the arch support is good enough that they don't bother my feet even if I wear them all day. Bought for a European vacation where I knew that I would do lots of walking. Sized up one size to accomodate my orthotics and there was plenty of room. After 3 weeks of wear and lots of walking, the shoe loosened up and held up well. Unfortunately, its quite wide given that It is a true "D" width and I'm more of a C width with a bunion on one foot. Had ordered the medium width in same shoe but it didn't arrive in time for me to compare which I did after my trip. I could have gone with the medium given the style of the toe box. For me, its too wide in the heel and very roomy in the toe box but it served its purpose for miles of walking and wearing with skirts, shorts and pants. Medium grey color with white trim. Great all around walking shoe but a bit heavy if you want to use for work outs and also generally not as cushy as my hokas for real walking or hiking. ... show more
