I have always loved New Balance shoes ever since a foot doctor recommended them to me when I was a teenager suffering shin splints (from running.) New Balance shoes typically have a straighter “line” from toe to heel, if that makes sense. The foot doctor showed me how to compare shoes by turning them over and looking at the soles for how straight or curved the imaginary line from toe to heel is. Most other brands have a slight curve inward that causes the toes to fall slightly inwards. (Although this might work for some people, it doesn’t help ankle and knee alignment if you have high arches.) This can be visible when you turn the shoes over and look at the sole of the shoe. New balance will typically have a straighter “line” from heel to toe than other brands. I have worn a lot of new balance shoes in my life, and this pair has been no disappointment! They are sturdy, supportive, long-lasting, great arch support, and I love the color. They have great traction and heel stability. I use them mainly for walking, these days, but I have no doubt they would wear extremely well for a runner Highly recommend! ... show more

So I work for a DSP delivering Amazon packages. I walk an average of 7mi a day on my route. These shoes were definitely a life saver. I do wish the sole was slightly squishier to help cushion jumping out the van upwards of 200+ times a day but overall they are way better than any of the shoes I already had in my closet. No blisters, my feet weren’t in pain at the end of a 10hr shift, the grip on them in wet conditions is pretty decent. However, after four months of punishment the soles have cracked and started to come apart. They would prob last way longer for someone who wasn’t abusing them as much as I do. As someone who has wide, troubled feet with a multitude of issues, I can honestly say these are the only shoes I can wear. The fit is true to size. The toe box is roomy. They are another dad shoe in my collection. They are what to expect from New Balance. They run a little more narrow than I'd like because I wasn't able to get wide like I normally do. But that's my issue, not a shoe issue. I have no complaints, that's why I keep buying New Balance. Reliable, super comfy, affordable. I'm a retail manager so I put miles on shoes.     • Very comfortable and lightweight
These are the only sneakers I buy. I’ve been buying them for 3 years now. Lightweight and comfortable if you’re on your feet a lot. They’re not always easy to find, so I always buy a much at a time. I have 5 new pairs in my closet. I have one pair for work, and one pair for outside. When the work ones wear out, I switch my outside pair to my work pair and bring out a new pair for outside wear. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I always get a hole on the nylon of my left one. That’s when I bring out a new pair. I believe it’s because I buy the regular width and not the EEE. I have a thin foot, I only weigh 150 pounds. EEE’s are way to big for me. My guess is that I would be somewhere in the middle, but that’s not a choice, so I think that I stretch it from continuous usage. If you drop anything on your foot, you will feel it. It’s just nylon. These will continue to be my go to sneaker. I imagine when I die, they’ll have to find a skinny size 11 foot to donate them to. ... show more
