I have always loved New Balance shoes ever since a foot doctor recommended them to me when I was a teenager suffering shin splints (from running.) New Balance shoes typically have a straighter “line” from toe to heel, if that makes sense. The foot doctor showed me how to compare shoes by turning them over and looking at the soles for how straight or curved the imaginary line from toe to heel is. Most other brands have a slight curve inward that causes the toes to fall slightly inwards. (Although this might work for some people, it doesn’t help ankle and knee alignment if you have high arches.) This can be visible when you turn the shoes over and look at the sole of the shoe. New balance will typically have a straighter “line” from heel to toe than other brands. I have worn a lot of new balance shoes in my life, and this pair has been no disappointment! They are sturdy, supportive, long-lasting, great arch support, and I love the color. They have great traction and heel stability. I use them mainly for walking, these days, but I have no doubt they would wear extremely well for a runner Highly recommend!

As someone who has wide, troubled feet with a multitude of issues, I can honestly say these are the only shoes I can wear. The fit is true to size. The toe box is roomy. They don't rub or pinch anywhere. I can wear my custom orthotics with no "break in" time. They are totally comfortable & fashionable. My feet are happy!

These are the only sneakers I buy. I’ve been buying them for 3 years now. Lightweight and comfortable if you’re on your feet a lot. They’re not always easy to find, so I always buy a much at a time. I have 5 new pairs in my closet. I have one pair for work, and one pair for outside. When the work ones wear out, I switch my outside pair to my work pair and bring out a new pair for outside wear. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I always get a hole on the nylon of my left one. That’s when I bring out a new pair. I believe it’s because I buy the regular width and not the EEE. I have a thin foot, I only weigh 150 pounds. EEE’s are way to big for me. My guess is that I would be somewhere in the middle, but that’s not a choice, so I think that I stretch it from continuous usage. If you drop anything on your foot, you will feel it. It’s just nylon. These will continue to be my go to sneaker. I imagine when I die, they’ll have to find a skinny size 11 foot to donate them to.

The shoes are super cute, and lightweight. I’ve always enjoyed the fact that NB has wide options that are also attractive. These shoes are attractive, but they are not actually wide, so if you truly need a wide size, or have a high arch (as I do) you will be disappointed in the fit. I can tell they will be very comfortable if they stretch a bit, but they are not immediately perfectly comfortable. I’m going to keep them and hope for the best- only time will tell if that’s a good choice. But the reason for my star deduction was the amount of time it took to get the shoes. I ordered them knowing that delivery was about 10 days, but then was notified that it would be an additional 10-11 days. As that time grew near, and they had not shipped yet, I messaged customer service - who forwarded my message to the vendor who supplies these shoes, and they overnighted them and I got them a day later. So- not my favorite purchase or experience. If they fit you, and you get them in a remotely timely way, I could definitely see a five star review.
