  • Loved them just out of the box
I used to run on Brooks Glycerin and bought the 1080v9 size 8 and thought they were just for the gym. When I accidentally ran on them, I never ran on my Brooks again (although they are absolutely great). I then upgraded to the 0189v10 when they got worn, same size (8) and didn’t feel well on them but gave them a try for a short run- fit small, narrow, hurt my toes… They were just not made for me and had to sell them. I hated them. When I unboxed these 1080v11 half size larger (size 8.5), they felt just right from the beginning. I think these have a lower profile so my ankles don’t touch the shoe (never happened on my v9 but was terrible on the v10). I have not ran on them but I will update as soon as I do. I know I am going to love them because they fit just right. Now my toes don’t touch the toe box (these are half size bigger) and don’t have that hard profile on the toe box that were on the v10 and hurt my feet. I usually run 20-30mi per week and use them exclusively for running, either for short or long runs. Update 5 months later: they are my favorite running shoes. Absolutely comfortable. I use them for almost all my runs. The sole will surely be worn faster than on the v9 but there’s no option, they don’t exist so better don’t think about that and enjoy running on these. Glad I bought them half size larger. Have never felt sore not even after long runs (13mi). ... show more

  • I got the extra wide
I wear a 6.5 wide and have flat feet. Shoes are so hard to find. I love these shoes. I went with the extra wide and I’m so glad that I did. I can’t stand to wear shoes that have a lot of arch support because it feels like I am walking on a rock so I am so glad that these shoes don’t feel that way. I have a little more bounce in my step. I love to run on the dirt road with big chunks of gravel and these shoes are perfect. They are stretchy and comfortable. They do not rub a blister on my heel or on the side of the widest part of my feet like some other shoes I have had have done. They don’t hurt my feet at all and are very soft on the inside with a good sole that protects my feet from the big rocks I run on. They are so beautiful. The strings are perfect length and don’t drag the ground to trip me or come untied. I recommend these shoes for people with wide flat feet who love to run. ... show more

  • Walked 26 miles in 3 days with no issues!
Needed an extra comfy pair of shoes for a trip to Disney and work. These are perfect! I have plantar fasciitis and have to wear custom orthotics. I also have a bunion and need very wide and soft sided shoes to alleviate any pressure on that area. I was able to get a 7 1/2 extra wide with this shoe and the material is very soft and stretchy. The sole of the shoe is very thick and soft for all day standing and walking. I usually cannot even walk on gravel without feeling discomfort. I was able to walk across all terrains without issue. Could not feel gravel at all thru the shoe. Because it’s so soft, the heal of the shoe does sink down a lot. That did take several days to get used to. You can feel it in your calf muscle when walking. I have worn these shoes for several weeks now and walked the 26 miles around Disney and still love how comfortable. Little worn on the side of the soles. My last pair were Brooks. The wide was still too narrow and I had to remove the liner to get my orthotics to fit. They were also a lot more hard in the sole and uncomfortable when standing a lot. Definitely looking to purchase another pair of the New Balance Fresh foam 1080. ... show more

  • Comfortable, but not durable.
These are the same pair i buy over and over. They’re so comfortable. But the upper wears out in the same spot with every pair I’ve owned-right at the big toe. But I have plantar fasciitis and a neuroma and they’re the sneakers I can wear to the gym and walking that don’t leave me in pain

  • Excellent for overpronation!
Size: 7.5 Color: Black/Thunder
I've struggled to find good walking or in this case running shoes that both address my overpronation (rolling feet inward) and comfort. Most of my reeboks offer zero pronation support which I had started to notice was becoming extremely painful in daily walking. I decided to go to a running store and have them assess my running stride and walking stride in a treadmill. After looking at the frame by frame of my stride and pronation they brought out 4 different shoes. These were the first they recommended I tried them on and immediately felt supported and like my stride was corrected. I tried on the other pairs to no success. I purchased a pair at he running store and they recommended when my wallet recovered to buy a second pair to rotate in and out while they wear. Great shoes! Great for addressing foot balance and stride issues while still looking cool. (*bonus tip for other pronators add a pair of sessom orthotic flip flop for wearing around your house to relieve nearly all foot pain! Can be found on Amazon as well). I'll buy my next pair at the running store as their prices weren't too much more and I'm happy to share the consumer love. Happy Running--- from a non-runner and over pronator! ... show more

  • Great for wide feet.
This NB shoe is lightweight and the absorbent Fresh Foam cushioning allows me all day comfort. The material is breathable providing great ventilation when working out. This is my all time favorite and have 9 pairs now. Best part is they are comfortable for a wide foot.

  • Love this shoe please don't "upgrade it"
I have purchased 4 pairs of these over the past 2 years. This is a great shoe and I've tried about 15 other pairs this is the winner in my opinion. fits my foot well, not too bulky, support is excellent, moulds to foot, easy to get on and off, light weight and no plantar fasciitis problems when I wear this shoe daily. Can stand for long periods just fine. ... show more

  • Nice, cushion and forgiving fit for wide feet.
I over pronate and have torn tendons in my flat feet. I walk in pain daily. These are a good option. These are not stabilizing shoes by any means, but they offer comfort and they look nice. I do not stand or walk in them for more than a few hours at a time so I can not speak to their ability to provide comfort all day long, but if I didn’t have extreme pain walking, I could see these being awesome work and workout shoes. ... show more
