Overall I give these a 4 because of the durability and the value(~$20 at the time of this writing), paired with the next part of this review. If you hate the thong between your toes as much as I do, grab a pair of these and don't think about it. Grab two pairs. I have incredibly high arches and extra wide feet, so finding comfortable footwear is a chore at best. I cannot walk around barefoot for more than 5-10 minutes without getting sharp foot pain that quickly spreads to my legs and back. These do have reasonable arch support, but when I first put them on I thought I put them on backwards because it has the same "arch support" on the outside of the foot. For the record, you can't accidentally put these on backwards unless they're tremendously oversized, the rigid top support prevents it or my feet are just too wide even for these X-Wide. They fit nicely on the correct foot. I am overly picky about my feet, I notice these misplaced humps immediately and over a longer period of time it does add extra pressure that's a little uncomfortable. They seem to be "breaking in" as I don't notice it as harshly, but if I'm going to be up for awhile, I just put on actually shoes which might be a good thing. I would not hesitate to buy another pair to which I'm considering having a general back up pair and adding a pair permanently to my travel bag so I don't have to think about it or find myself in a hotel room on that awful carpet without them. ... show more

I rarely write reviews on purchases I make but I recently bought a pair of the New Balance sandals and I am very pleased. These sandals have great sole support and feel very comfortable. The price is incredible too. I say if these sandals last me six months, I made a good purchase , but I feel like they’ll last longer. I replaced my previous New Balance slippers with these. The biggest thing to know about these is that the upside sole (where your feet set on) has jagged lines. They're like a textured sole. This took me about a day to get used to because it feels weird on your feet. After a day of wearing these, however, they're really comfortable and the pattern helps keep the slipper on your feet.     • Good when things get wet
I was looking for a sandal, slide type of shoe to wear when cleaning pool filters, fixing sprinkler heads and anywhere I might get wet. They are fine for those things. I would like a little more arch support and the availability of half sizes. I have tried a few other shoes of this variety and found the even sizes either too large or too small. Walking any distance in them is not advisable as they're too big to stay on properly.     • Comfortable sandals for running around
I got these for making quick trips outside my house. I have wide feet, and these sandals accommodate my feet well. I couldn't find anything cheaper in wide width than these, and I've had great experiences with New Balance in the past. It was worth the money.
