  • awesome
Size: 11 Color: Angora/Hot Mango/Black
so comfortable! I bought these instead of the elite v4's because they were cheaper and supposedely more durable. I had Adidas Boost and Asics Nimbus before, and this shoe is a whole different thing. The most comfortable running shoe I've wore by far. I then bought the elite v4's for races, and they do seem to be "faster" (times have improved a bit) but overall I really really love these shoes and i keep on using them for training. they also seem quite durable! ... show more

Beautiful, lite weight, very comfortable for a new shoe. I’ve been wearing New Balance sneakers for years, quality never changes. Highly recommend.

  • Way more narrow than the v2s
Size: 12 Wide Color: Angora/Hot Mango/Black
As a very wide footed runner, I'm tired of shoe companies making shoes narrower when they update models. I loved the v2s. I went through multiple pairs of them last year as they were the only carbon shoe that comfortably fit me and I wanted that extra kick for the long miles I was doing for both marathon and ultramarathon training. As soon as I saw the midsole style from the Supercomp Elites v2s on the Trainer v3s I knew I was in trouble. The Elites were narrower than the Trainer v2s and these follow that design. There's far less room around the balls of your feet both in terms of width and instep height. These pinched outer edge of my feet badly. I tried lacing them as loosely as possible, but I ran in them twice and 5 miles into each run my feet genuinely hurt. Add them to the pile of shoes just not made for me and my 4E width and high arches. ... show more

  • Wonderful shoes
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black/Phantom/Bleached Lime Glo
I am so happy with these shoes. They have just the right cushioning and support for my needs. I have other running shoes for trail running. But these shoes for racing on roads are just wonderful. Even after miles of pounding the road, changing to street shoes seems like putting wooden clogs on my feet. I would wear them all day if i could. ... show more

  • Completed the Long Beach Marathon in these
Size: 10.5 Color: White/Cyber Jade
Docked a star because the padding on the top of the plate is lackluster and can leave your feet sore. It was a good way to find out that I'm not fast enough for carbon plated shoes and to just go back to my NB Vongos or 880's. Very nicely built shoe though, and fits true to the rest of NB shoes.
