Its a comfy shoe. Im a true wide at 2e and flat footed. Finally ran once and it was a ok. My issue is the fitting. The heel is roomy, midfoot is snug for my wide feet and toe box is a little too roomy for me. Not only the width but also the height of the shoe. Cushion is good just kind of irritated with how they added more stack height from last years model. Every brand seems to keep going higher and higher. For me, I think my sweet spot for running shoes is a drop of 4mm not 6. Overall the shoe is good not great.

The FuelCell Rebels are now my "go to" for running. I have 3 pair now. Lightweight. Comfortable. Fun to run in. I run about 40-50 miles a month in Miami's hot summers but 60-80 when the fall comes around, so these are motivating & reliable.

A Somewhat Subtle but Excellent Update

I run a lot and run in a lot of shoes. I’ve worked in the industry and have fitted plenty of people for running shoes. These are a big win for NB. The shoe is everything I enjoy in a running shoe. It’s simple, fun, cushioned, responsive, durable enough, and looks great. It’s also fantastic value for money. The fit is true to size, unlike the previous model. There is no extra upper material to bunch up, but enough width to satisfy someone who complains about shoes being to narrow. The rubber outsole is somewhat minimal and it started to wear after 75-100 miles. That being said, grip is good and outsole wear is not the end of the world. The shoe still has a lot of life in it at 150ish miles. This is going to be one of those that gets turned into a dog walker after I’m finished running in it. In my world, that is a great achievement for a running shoe and is reserved for the most comfortable.

NB quality DOWN while price UP

The aesthetic looks good, but they run a bit small (for comfort daily, def get a half size bigger) for $145+ shoes, they should not have any "defects", where the canvas sides meet the rubber you can see glue/stitching defects and inconsistencies.... felt bummed when I opened the box and noticed this, New Balance is making shoes worse quality for even more premium prices... they should be perfect all around, with premium comfort. Been following NB for like 7 years, and dont appreciate them cutting corners, they should have comfort/product quality/sizing down PERFECTLY BY NOW... if my criticisms were factored into the overall value, This is a $85 retail value sneaker MAX. Photo attached may not seem like you can see imperfections, but the stitching/glue has obvious "tight" spots along the crease, these sorts of things are noticeable to anyone who knows what quality vs low quality looks like.
