I have had three runs with the shoes and I have found the shoes to be extremely comfortable. The shoe is well-made and is very light and my orthotics fit in the shoes perfectly. I was previously running in the new balance beacon which has since been discontinued. This seems to be a good substitute for that shoe. Time will tell if the shoe holds up well I really do like the styling of the shoe especially this color, which has a tie in with the New York Roadrunners New York City marathon.     • Super speed shoe
Shoe is made for running fast only. Because the fuel cell has so much bounce, your legs might hyperextend while walking. I use them for speed training only as I damaged my knee walking in them. My all time favorite tempo and/or speed trainer.

Love this shoe! I have recently gotten back into running after a 35 year hiatus. After logging about 75 miles in September, I signed up for a couple of 10ks and a half marathon. My wife did some research and these were the shoes she decided upon and they are amazing. Incredibly light weight, breathable, tongue stays put while running, great cushion over long distance. I am 51, and the cushion on these things is great for my knees. I have since bought two other pairs of shoes, Hoka Mach X and Adidas Duramo Speed and the New Balance are still my favorite shoe. I purchased these on 7 Apr, it's June 5th. Like a previous poster, I tend to be a heal striker and bought these specifically for their rated cushioning and design for marathon runners. I can't run anymore but I speed walk and put in between 4 to 10 miles 5 days a week. I expected these shows to last at least 3 to 6 months. Sadly after only a month and a half of use the right heel has completely blown out and is flat. The sole is also pulling away from the body of the shoe so the shoes are garbage now. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I can't return them to Amazon now but Im hoping New Balance honors thier six month outer sole warranty. Sadly I can't recommend these. I've used New Balance shoes for over 20 years and have never had an experience like this ... show more
