First off, I'm a shoe nerd. I admit it. Growing up my Dad would buy us only 𝙏𝙃𝙀 cheapest shoes he could find. They were so bad that we'd wear them out in a couple of months and I should be honest, I am not hard on my shoes, either (my older brother was a different story). Didn't make a difference. My Dad would rather buy us a pair of new shoes for $20 every couple months rather than spend $35 on ONE pair that would last at least a year (if not more). As a result, when I finally got a job and could buy my own, I had quite a collection. A habit I continue to this day. With that in mind, within the last year I've purchased 2 other pairs of New Balance trail running shoes which were (at that time) the most comfortable pairs of shoes I had ever purchased. Since then I bought a pair of Brooks Ghost Max which replaced those as the most comfortable pair of shoes I had ever owned. The Fresh Foam X have now replaced (by a slim margin) my Brooks for sheer comfort. I don't really run, but I DO an awful lot of hiking and walking. So strict comfort is pretty important to me. These shoes are simply brilliant in how comfortable they are. The previously mentioned New Balance Trail runners were, for a lack of a better term, had almost too much cushion. I know, how can a shoe have TOO much cushion? Well, those do...at least for me. For instance, I would never wear them for weight training, especially doing the dead lift. The cushion is SO pronounced that I'd be worried they could pull me off balance a little too easily. But then again, they aren't designed for weight lifting, so just keep that in mind. The Foam X shoes are a perfect balance between great cushion and sheer comfort. It must be hard for companies to achieve that balance without going too far but Kudo's to NB for pulling it off. The soles aren't as durable as the trail runners perhaps, but oh man are they a joy to wear. Again, since I don't run I cannot speak to how stable they'd be at doing any long/short distance running but man am I happy with mine. Overall 𝙏𝙃𝙀 most comfortable shoes I own (and I own a LOT). I am VERY satisfied with my purchase.

I was looking for a shoe with extra cushioning because I am heavier than the average runner. NB did a nice job with this one. The foam cushions well without giving up too much control. It’s springy without being spongy. Also does not feel like a memory foam shoe…where you can sink in without getting spring support. Great choice for me but it might be a little much for a thin/light person.

I have to say out of all the "Max cushion" shoes from Hoka,ASICS,Nike and others....... The More Foam V4 is probably King of the mountain in terms of how much Cushioning/foam you get. The most bouncy feeling out of all of the shoes I've ever worn. Especially very good for Long work hours on Retail or Nurses who work 20 hours shifts

For casual use and walking these shoes are great, but standing still I find them very spongy and a bit unstable, because the sole is so large and soft. But on balance a very comfortable shoe to wear.

I ordered these shoes along with Asics Nimbus 25. Pros- 1. Looks. I love white shoes so I really liked the look of these shoes. Almost a 9 out of 10 for the color combination and design. 2. The materials are premium as well. Not a fan of the big N but that is par for the course with New Balance. 3. The tongue is good. Not as good as the one in Asics but cushions well. 4. The upper was comfortable but not super airy. 5. The feel inside the shoe is roomy. I have medium width feet and my toes felt very relaxed. 6. The width of the shoe makes it very stable. So if you like how it feels, it can be a good shoe for recovery runs Cons- 1. The outsole is big which gives lots of cushion. However, there is a hollow feel to it. When the shoe hits the ground, there is an initial feeling of softness which is quickly replaced with a feeling of compressing a balloon. Hard to describe it but it is not similar to the Nimbus 25 or ultraboost. More on the lines of Nike invincible run. Both of them gave pain in my right knee within few minutes. 2. Minor con- the shape of the shoe is very bulky. The front end feels boxy. 3. This is not about the shoe but about Amazon. The return process with Amazon was a nightmare. They kept pushing the date of refund back multiple times. The chat and call features first take you to an Indian call center and those employees would do everything to not address your problems. I am an Indian and I am ashamed at such a service. Amazon did not refund the money for over a month because apparently that's how long it takes them to process the return of this shoe. Even after a month, it was stuck in a limbo and I had to contact them again, spend 30 minutes on phone while the agent (someone higher than the call center) processed the refund. Overall an unsavory experience.
