  • Decent!
Size: 12 Color: Spring Tide/Vibrant Orange/Morning Fog
I walk 4 miles every morning on asphalt, so I tend to burn out shoes in just a few months. It tends to be around the 120-mile mark. (6'3" 195 lbs) Which is fine. You can see in the picture where these are at after 2 full months of daily walks. They've got another month or two, then they'll be toast. Doesn't seem to matter the brand, asphalt is hard on shoes! My last shoes were 1080 V12's, I figure I'll compare these 880 v12's to those. Out of the box, I find the 880's more comfortable than the 1080s by a considerable margin. Obviously, everyone's foot is different. But the 1080's I would have some fatigue setting in at the end of my walks. These 880's never do that to me. They were good to go straight away. The 1080's felt super squishy at the start of the walks, but always felt flatter by the end. Probably in my head, but definitely less comfortable. One big difference is the tongue. The 1080's tongue is on an elastic band that goes around your foot, and it really makes putting the shoe on effortless. The tongue is always in the right place and it's supportive. With the 880's, the tongue is my least favorite part. It's pretty short, and if you pull up on it at all, the sides curl underneath itself and you have to dig them out of the sides. I don't understand why the tongue has such a desire to curl up on itself, I've never seen this in a shoe. Might be a sewing defect on mine. But honestly, even with the annoying tongue issue, I may very well end up buying another pair of these in a month or two. The comfort is hard to beat! ... show more

  • Gore Tex!
Size: 10.5 Color: Eclipse/Dark Moonstone
I stumbled on this color shoe which happens to be Gore Tex. It was inside a general category of colors on the 880. The words Gore Tex was written plainly and there was no other mention of any of this shoe as being waterproof. So I bought two. The 880 runs a hair small so I got 10.5 vs 10 in regular width. Great fit is rare for me. ... show more

  • Awesome shoes to run
Size: 13 Color: White/Black
I sidelined my ASICS running shoes for these in the interest of comfort. The impact of sidewalk/pavement became noticeable until switching to these NB lots of reviews and ratings brought me to this good deal. The shoes feel like springs on my feet. My form is much more controlled and allows for significantly longer runs compare to other shoe brands. My feet no longer heat up excessively, my joints don’t hurt from gate adjustment due to my shoes, and these absorb all shock when running form is perfected. As close to closed-toe barefoot running shoes I’ve ever felt. ... show more

  • Amazing comfort
Size: 12 X-Wide Color: Spring Tide/Vibrant Orange/Morning Fog
I'm a large man on my feet all day. I've always used new balance as they are one of the few companies that make a 4e (extra wide). And they are manufactured in AMERICA!!! This is my first pair of the fresh foam. Unbelievable comfort, perfect support. Highly recommend this product.

  • Very nice shoes, in my case for walking.
Size: 9.5 Color: Spring Tide/Vibrant Orange/Morning Fog
I tried the 1080 V12's first and found them to be too narrow, and rather than guestimate how best to resolve that issue (wide, or next size up...and from reports the sizing is an issue too) I chose to go for the 880's and am glad I did. I should have tried these first...the fit is as expected and very comfy. If I had a vote I would make the heel potion of the soles just a tad firmer, but these are fine and the search for my next pair of shoes is over. ... show more

  • Great shoe and waterproof
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Eclipse/Dark Moonstone
A great waterproof shoe. Much lighter than my trail running shoes from another manufacturer. The ability to get the shoe in wide widths is extremely important to me. Love these.

  • Very different from the Fresh Foam Roav models!
Size: 9.5 Medium Color: Vibrant Apricot/Vibrant Orange
These feel a bit heavier but wow, they're so much supportive and reassuring than the Fresh Foam Roav models I own, which to me feel more like flip-flops with a roof, ha-ha. Mine came looking and smelling brand new like store-bought ones. No signs of use like other reviewers have experienced! I bought mine from Fleet Feet shipped by Amazon. BRO TIP: New Balance shoes in my experience go up and down in price a lot on Amazon, so put them in your cart and check two or three times a day and you'll see the price go up and down. I snatched mine at $78.95 after months of watching, ha-ha! ... show more

  • Shorter toe box
Size: 15 Wide Color: Spring Tide/Vibrant Orange/Morning Fog
I have been wearing New Balance shoes forever and always a size 15 EE. These shoes are comfortable but my toes hit the front while walking fast and especially downhill. A 1/2 size up would be my suggestion when ordering.
