  • Good fit but just not for me
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Ocean Grey/Light Slate/Black
Bought these to add a stability shoe to my rotation since I have issues with my knee due to a very old surgery. BLUF: Good shoe but not working for me Pros: - Well constructed, should last many miles (500+) with the rubber and thick cushioning - Comfortable and well padded around the collar. - Fits as expected. I got the wide, which is a primary reason why I buy New Balance. Gave me plenty of room in my toe box. - I was able to keep my normal pace with these even though they are a lot heavier than my older shoes Cons: - Heavier than I am used to at this point. I have run in the Rebel v2 for the past year, so this was 50%+ heavier than that... of course weight is relative to what you are used to. - Cushioning felt stiff. Again, I am used to a very soft landing with the Rebels, so between the harder Freshfoam and thicker rubber, I just wasn't looking forward to running in them. Conclusion: I will try them out again when it gets warm to see if that softens and breaks in the cushion, but right now, I just struggle to run in them. At this point, I will go with the new Rebel v3 even if it isn't as stable as this shoe mainly because I am so used to the soft cushion of Fuelcell foam now. ... show more

  • Wide size for my flat feet works great after breaking it in
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Blue/Helium
I have a pair of Asics that are a little larger (and work well),but ordered these in the size I'm actually measured to wear and the ALSO work well. Took a while to find wide shoes in anything but black, and these blue ones were my ideal color. They felt a bit hard at first, so I decided to wear them golfing and walked more than 6 miles. By the end of the round, they were broken in and when I put them on the next day they were perfect for my flat feet (especially my over-pronating extremely flat left food). I'd buy them again in a heartbeat! ... show more

  • Runs a little small if you swap out the stock insert, but otherwise great + stability
Size: 12 Color: Mountain Teal/Sulphur Yellow
I swapped ut the standard insoles for some I use for PF and other issues ($35 variety) and so these are a little tighter in the toe than I like as a result. The toebox was perfect till I messed with it. Next size would have been useless to me as well though. Super recommend if you don't need orthotics put in. I don't care about the color but the weird green I got for less$ is kind of cool. ... show more

  • Good Replacement for 1260 V7
Size: 12 Wide Color: Blue/Helium
My feet are very particular about shoes. If the arch support is bad then my heel will start aching after standing for a few hours. New Balance shoes help with that. I have worn the 1260 V3 and V7 for years up until they discontinued it. The 860 seems to be the closest shoe. I normally get 12W for New Balance but had to get 12.5W for this shoe. It's clearly shorter than my old 1260 V7 at the same size. So be aware that you'll likely need to go half a size up for this one. ... show more

  • Perfect stability shoe for my feet.
Size: 9 Color: Light Aluminum/Deep Violet
I love my Mizuno Wave Inspire, but this shoe has them beat! Perfect all-day shoe for stability when you have foot issues and work on your feet. Extra plus for looking great too!

  • Stable fit is as expected. Nice fitting and looking shoe
Size: 11 X-Wide Color: Light Aluminum/Deep Violet
I like this shoe. I am 250 so need a good stable platform. This shoe is wearing well so far.

  • Good all around stability shoe...not great but good.
Size: 11.5 X-Wide Color: Blue/Vibrant Spring/Serene Blue
This is a good shoe. Not a great shoe. But a good reliable, comfortable stability shoe that is by standards less expensive. It provides support where needed. It does not give spectacular return when running but wears well. After 300-miles still a lot of sole left...almost new except in typical spots in my strike zone. HOWEVER, the inner seems to be losing life and might warrant an aftermarket replacement. I am happy with the shoe as a daily trainer but would like more return for a race shoe. It would also be a good daily shoe. Just happy to find 4E width. ... show more
