I can’t believe I’m at the age where I’m writing a review for sensible footwear, but here I am. I’ve taken to the 10,000 steps a day routine. Some of those steps are on a treadmill, but I really like the outdoor routes. Indoors, I have a pair of minimalist walking shoes. They’re wide and thin-soles. They work on the treadmill, which is very forgiving on the joints. The pavement, not so much. So these are my first pair of cushioned walking/running shoes. If you’ve never worn a pair like these, they take a little getting used to. The cushion is very… cushy. The toe and heel are curved for less impact, so the first fee steps, you feel the forward motion. Immediately I noticed a positive difference in my walks. I don’t feel that I have to hold back on my pace. They’re relatively light weight, and I like the way they look. I bought the grey ones, which are perfect, as I plan on getting them pretty dirty. The price was perfect at $60. I’m not a runner, so I can only vouch for brisk walking. But if you’re looking to get your steps in, these 680’s are an excellent investment in your health.

I recently picked up the New Balance Men's Fresh Foam 680 V8 Running Shoe in the Angora/Arid Stone colorway, and it's been a fantastic addition to my footwear collection. The Fresh Foam midsole provides a plush, cushioned ride that's perfect for both my daily runs and casual walks. The engineered mesh upper ensures breathability, keeping my feet cool during workouts. These are soooooooo comfortable , my only gripe is the top of the back of the shoe rubbing against my ankle but i can stretch that out . I love the color and the comfort :) the size was awesome too I have room at my toe 🥰

I love the Fresh Foam 680 v8 (and v7). For the past three years, I have walked 9 miles daily, and I must replace the shoes every 4-6 weeks. (Since 2024, I have purchased 21 pairs.) I like the 680 better than the 880 or 1080 because those models are too "squishy." Now for the BAD news. The most recent pair I received were a used return. My first clue was a piece of white duct tape on the shoe box. When I compared the sole of the shoe to another new pair in my closet, it was clearly evident the pair I had received were used. The sole was discolored, and the shoe "treads" were worn. Be sure to inspect your shoe carefully when it arrives. The 680 V8 deserves five stars. However, shipping used products to loyal customers is unacceptable. (In the photo you can see the difference between the used shoe on the left, and a new shoe on the right.

I have several New Balance 680 model shoes. They are running shoes ,but are great walking shoes too. They are very comfortable. They always hold up well to lots of use. They come several color choices. I recommend them.
