Originally bought this shoe for lounging around, but after a few runs in it i ended up liking this better than the running shoes i had bought. Rolls forward well and has a good balance of firmness and cushioning without feeling dead and has a nice bouncy feel on fast runs and intervals. Tried a few full half marathon runs on them but they're probably not suited for 8+ mile runs, could use more cushioning and support for that. Not sure why the same size was around a full smaller than their 880v12 so that's something to watch out for, but the extra wide is still properly extra wide. These aren't major downsides for me, but have to point out that arch support is definitely less and the shoe feels less stable compared to their 880v12 and the Brooks Ghost 13 and 14. ... show more

These are pillowy soft, yet supportive. My biggest gripe, and it's not a big deal, is that the laces have a little too much "bite". This ensures that the laces stay laced, BUT it makes intentionally lacing and unlacing harder than I'd like. Unless you're on the lazy side like I am, you'll probably love these shoes. Me? Ordered for my 6ft 14 year old who has huge feet and a very high instep so he needs extra wide shoes to accomodate his feet. These are light, breathable and comfortable. He can walk, do PE and even marching band in these and they're still comfy.

Shoe very comfortable and stable as a trainer. I wouldn't use to race since the fabric has a lot of give, but for easy runs no problem. I've owned 10+ NB shoes and sizing is as expected.

I’m a runner…6 times a week. I transition from indoor to outdoor and I use specific shoes for each condition. These are my indoor shoes for my treadmill. I like them! They are a little tight at the toe box but I thought maybe that would resolve after I “broke them in”…not so much. They don’t hurt…but they aren’t as comfortable as they could be. All that said…still a very comfortable shoe for mid distance. 5-10 miles, you’ll be good, the cushion of this shoe is great! 10+ miles, you may start to feel the toe box. ... show more

    • Inconsistent sizing

First pair of 680 v7 fit amazing, even more toe box space then normal. Bought a 2nd and it was really tight toe box, exact same shoe (different color), same size, same width, but too tight. Returned them and bought a 3rd pair, and the fit is looser than the second but still tighter than the first. All my New Balance shoes are 10.5 4E, and they always fit perfectly. This is the first time I've had issues with size. Otherwise these shoes are great for running, and everyday use. ... show more
