I wanted a weatherproof all purpose athletic style shoe in a wide width. I have New Balance running shoes, and really like them. I came across these on sale and I took a chance, even though I don't plan to use them for the intended purpose. I removed the cleats (you do need a special tool). The stability of the product is great it keeps my knees from wobbling but they are not sized like normal New balances they are snug they are comfortable with thinner socks
