The clincher with this shoe is the wide toe box. I like NB shoes in general, having 13 5E feet, I buy 14 4E as they are pretty easy to find and have an okay selection. I do fine with NB 14 4E except for the toes, they tend to be squished together. These babies have a nice wide toe box so my feet don't feel cramped at all but the shoes also don't feel loose at all. These fit my 14W foot very well. Nice wide toe box, they don't squeeze and rub my toes. Very comfortable, the heel/sole is firm, not spongy, and the support and stability is good.

Well made, fits and comfortable with no need to break in. Only downside is that it appeared to be an item used as laces on right was not correctly laced like the left shoe. I thus had to remove and lace it correctly.

Been a NB fan since my running track in high school and college. In recent years, some of the NB styles have gotten narrow in the toes, and soft in the soles. And I understand that feet are as varied as are personalities. Point is, this particular shoe style fits my 70 yr old feet better than most walking shoes. The laces require a double knot, which is not a negative. Stiff when new and will rub on the top of the foot. Once you get the lace tension set, great walking shoe. Quality is top notch.

I have always worn the same size NB and love their sneakers, especially because they offer shoes in my very large size. These are very comfortable to walk in, but are a little larger than usual, which surprised me. Maybe I just need thicker socks - will see how they feel.

I needed new walking shoes and have good experience with New Balance. These looked like they would be perfect, but the delivery time was in 'Weeks' rather than days. There was an open box Amazon Warehouse offer with a lower price and two day delivery. The shoes are fine, but they were obviously tried by someone with no socks, and had hairs stuck to the insole. That is rather disgusting. I took the shoes apart and cleaned everything with Lysol and a vacuum. It's not right of Amazon to resell a product without cleaning it. That will certainly make me more careful about "Warehouse" offers in the future. ... show more
