Five years ago, my podiatrist recommended New Balance walking shoes and I have worn the shoes on the left probably 1800 days out of the 1825 days I’ve owned them, because they are so comfortable. You can see they are looking a little worn, but still quite serviceable. I have had the new ones on the right for a month and they are also very comfortable, while providing the support for my feet that my podiatrist recommended. I also like the Velcro-type fasteners because I think they look neater than laces, and they NEVER become untied, which used to irritate me with laces. In addition, I have set the fasteners so I can slip my feet in and out of them without having to unfasten and refasten them, and yet because of the good shoe design, they still provide healthy comfort for walking. I don’t think I will ever go back to laces again for casual shoes. ... show more

I have a disability that makes it hard to tie shoelaces . These Velcro straps help me and the shoes feel good and are well made.

    • My son only wears these shoes!
I am an autism mom. My son likes the same things and does not like change. He loves these shoes. He says they are the most comfortable shoes ever. I used to try buying him other shoes, but there are the only ones he likes. I have gotten him this shoe for the last 5 years. Even I have to say they are super comfortable. I accidentally purchased the wrong size last year and was going to send them back, but they were close to my size, so I tried them on. They really are super comfortable. I kept the pair that didn’t fit him because they fit me. Not the most stylish shoes, but they get the job done.
