I was pleasantly surprised at what a good fit these shoes gave me. Coupled with Amazon's "try before you pay" offer, my experience was as good as I could have gotten in a brick-and-mortar store. Perhaps better because I could try out my new shoes in the environments where I would be wearing them, and that is a real plus when you consider that in a box store, you only get to walk up and down an aisle and that is really not the best way to consider if the shoe will really be a "best fit" for you. I am an autism mom. My son likes the same things and does not like change. He loves these shoes. He says they are the most comfortable shoes ever. I used to try buying him other shoes, but there are the only ones he likes. I have gotten him this shoe for the last 5 years. Even I have to say they are super comfortable. I accidentally purchased the wrong size last year and was going to send them back, but they were close to my size, so I tried them on. They really are super comfortable. I kept the pair that didn’t fit him because they fit me. Not the most stylish shoes, but they get the job done. Sent back 10 pairs of various shoes/sizes until I found these that actually fit and are comfy; I thought I was size 10 D before but these 10 EEEE xtra wide fit much better and have roll bar in the heel for max stability w/my neuropathy would recommend
