I have been wearing these for many years. Long before the "Dad" moniker was applied to them. They are great for wide feet. I wear them everyday and they are quite comfortable. I also play volleyball and it's hard to find a volleyball show that is not restrictive. I have tried the standard selection of specific volleyball shoes, but have always come back to these. I'm 70 and have somewhat poor balance due to spine issues compressing nerves. I tried a lot of the Memory Foam sneakers but they didn't provide the stability I needed, and I ended up walking like I'd had too much to drink. This is my second pair of NB 608's. They work great for me. They are very stable, and I can walk much further without pain than I can with other shoes that I have tried. Worth every penny! But one thing I should mention, these did NOT come in a New Balance box, just a plain brown box. ... show more

As advertised. Comfortable and well made. Some minor aesthetic mars-at top of stitching on both shoes is a small leather piece and it is dissimilar in appearance. Looks like a mar. I am working out, so NBD, but if you want them to be styling, you may not care for the seeming poor QC. Would by again. See pix, one on left sticks out and is noticeable, one on right, hardly. For my wide feet and toes, this sneaker has been more comfortable than my more expensive sneakers. Flat, wide feet are a difficult fit in an aging person, but this lower-priced sneaker in Wide size affords my toes much more comfort than my other sneakers. I won a LOT of New Balance shoes. They hold up well and fit well given their availability in x-wide widths. I almost never buy the same model twice as they replace the constantly with new models. Based on Amazons recommendation I bought this 1/2 size longer than my usual NB size. That was just right. Compared to most of my other NB shoes this model has a pointier toe and the additional length was necessary to have a comfortable fit. Remember I have a very wide foot. I'm happy with the look of these (in black). I also like the small amount of perforations to give it some breath-ability without resorting to mesh which leads to wet feet if there is any rain or even dew. The sole has very good traction but doesn't have an aggressive tread. I don't like aggressive tread except for hiking boots or trail shoes, they carry too much dirt into the house, car and boat. ... show more

These cross trainers fit perfectly. I measured my feet using a cloth tape measure to be 10 3/16" which translates to a size 10. The soles are very sticky which is great for preventing feet from slipping on surfaces which my old trainers were doing. Also, with my old trainers, I had foot pain near my arches when doing leg presses on machines - I thought I was getting fallen arches or something. With these trainers, no more pain - so the arch support is great. ... show more
