Use shoe for sports officiating. I chose this shoe for the wide toe box, which I need. Has a bit of a boxy shape but toes appreciate the extra room. Comfortable shoe with very little break in needed. So far satisfied.

Got these for my delivery job, and they do okay. Not the most comfortable for 8+ hours a day of walking, but I've tried plenty worse. Pair these with an epsom salt soak at the end of the day and I'm good to go. These are also surprisingly water resistant! I've had plenty of days where the ground is soaked with rain and my feet stay relatively dry. These don't have an awful lot of support, unfortunately. Once I added in a different insole, they felt a lot better. I still plan on getting something else, though. But for the money, this is a decent pick. ... show more

The 577s used to be made in the USA but these were made in Viet Nam. Very disappointed in New Balance.

Fit is everything for shoes. I have "ducks feet," (small and wide at the front, narrow at the rear). Find shoes is an issue. These are a good fit.

They seem well constructed and cleanly finished (no loose threads from stitching). I will say this about the shoe, "you are not going to sneak up on anybody. They SQWEEK like crazy; even on carpet. Lastly; the shoe laces are 6 inches to long. They drag on the ground and come untied easily.

Ordered 11.5 extra wide. Received in a box saying 11.5 wide. A little confusing as shoes are 11.5 4E which is extra wide. They fit fine.
