While new balance has become pricier over the years (as has everything) , I've enjoyed the fit of them for the past 25+ years (going on 45 now)... I hope (and no doubt they will exceed my expectations) that they last as long as my previous pairs (average life span is 5+ years per new sneaker ...) Also, I like that these in particular are (mostly) solid black, so they go well with business casual and the gym. Only negative (so I'd rate it a 4.997) is that there is gray on the tongue and on the back of the heel... still have to keep a pair of true dress shoes because of that ;) )

The image of the shoes in white looked a tad beige but in person they're much whiter (especially when new). These are relatively heavy shoes if you're used to minimalist running shoes or skater shoes, but for some folks it may be considered a comfortable type of heavy where your feet feel well protected and supported. If you're having feet pain due to plantar fascia or looking for a supportive pair of shoes, you'll want to replace the in-soles with something more supportive as the ones provided were very thin pieces of foam. I didn't dock a star for this because it's the norm to replace the in-soles in shoes in general and I feel the other aspects of the shoes made me feel strongly positive about it. So far the shoes have been very sturdy and held up well in my time with them.

It's nice to find such good, sturdy shoes at a decent price and in a narrow width to perfectly fit my 12B feet. They have a decent amount of cushion and are holding up well. The only complaint I have is the eyelets are so tight it makes lacing or unlacing these shoes a chore. I wish NB had used metal eyelets or D rings instead.

This is my fourth time purchasing this exact same New Balance style of walking shoes. The 577 V1 walking shoes are very good quality shoes. The first time I ordered them was in 2015, so that's four times in nine years. My husband loves them. He says they fit comfortably straight out of the box. The last time I ordered him some New Balance was another style, the 411 V1 training shoe, and they lasted two years, but became slick on the bottom, and he slid on some water in the driveway and down he went. Of course, he hadn't told me his shoes were losing their traction. That style wasn't available, so I ordered these that same night, then realized it was the fourth time ordering them. They have great traction on them, but two years of wear is enough for any walking shoe, so I'll make sure I order them again before that happens two years from now. These are black/black and are nice looking shoes.

I am a fan of New Balance and have worn them for many years. I always order size 12 4E and they always fit, until now. These wouldn't even go on my feet. I held them up to my other NB shoes and they are about half an inch shorter. I gave three stars as they seem good quality, but they do need to be consistent in their sizing.

The New Balance Men's MW577 Walking Shoes are a reliable pair of shoes. I purchased them about three weeks ago, and they are holding up well. As someone who purchases a new pair of shoes roughly every six months due to cheap mesh material, these New Balances are made with nice leather that you can tell is going to last for many years. The shoes themselves break in pretty easily, which is a good thing for people who are on their feet all day. I ordered my pair in a wide, and they fit very nicely. In terms of comfort, the shoes are wonderful for letting your toes breathe, but when it comes to the rubber soles, they are already somewhat flat. I personally wish these soles were a better material, such as memory foam. But keep in mind you may need to replace the soles. Lastly, for the design, the black leather is very nice, and is an easy to clean! My only complaint with the design is the huge New Balance Logo on the back of the shoes as shown in the picture above.
