The NB Men's 574 V2 Evergreen Sneakers (black/grey) fit comfortably. I have very flat feet, (fallen arches) so toe room and an arch support that is mild, is the best for me personally. I can feel the arch support with the inserts that come with these, and they feel ok, Not really hard or pronounced like some sneakers I recently tried before buying these that actually were uncomfortable to wear for longer than an hour. They had just enough room in the toe area so my pinky toe wasn't rubbing, which is an issue I hate with those pointy toed sneaker brands. They have a nice rubber sole that has a very grippy tread design that make them good for outdoor activities. They also don't really require any break in time, other than getting used to wearing brand new sneakers after wearing old worn out ones for years, like I did. (Lol. I get attached to things I own) They are very nice looking if you prefer a sneaker that doesn't have all those fancy color patterns like a bag of skittles wild berry, and like something that can be worn with just about any color clothing. That's if fashion means something to you. I like things that are stylish but not loud, so these were perfect. I recommend them if want a comfortable sneaker with really good tread grip, and only need the basic arch support and don't have any medical conditions requiring high arch shoes.

I have been wearing New Balance 574s for well over a decade and really like them. This new version replaces the thickly-padded, narrow tongue with a wider, thin tongue. This, along with a more resilient insole make them even more comfortable (for me, anyway) right out of the box. Great product! UPDATE: The only negative to these shoes is an NB logo/size tag that is wrapped around the end of the tongue and sewn on through the tongue. The seam causes a ridge directly over the arch that is irritating (to me, anyway). I removed the label and the problem went away.

Bought this for the retro style but surprised by the comfort. The extra width at the toe met my expectations. The inner sole cushion and the fit seems good. The only potential issue is that it's not as stable as my 990v4 or my other running shoes. I compared the width of the footprint to my other shoes, and it definitely has a narrow profile at the heel area. Will have to evaluate it further, but it's a minor issue since I bought it primarily for its looks.

Nice shoes and comfortable they run half size big I ordered a 10.5 a little big biut thanks to Dr Schols it fixed the half size issue and made then even more comfortable , only issue I have is the boxy design can make my 10.5 foot look like midget feet bit that’s a small quibble for very comfortable shoes

My husband enjoys wearing the shoe, provides good support. The size is 12 and that's what he wears, However his feet seem to be swimming in this shoe and after a while his feet hurt.He has an ideal and they fit perfectly.

They fit great, and I'm so glad they carry their classic looking shoes now in wide widths. These specific models don't have much cushioning in the sole, but they still look great and are true to their original nature. Ordered a 10.5, and they fit perfectly, just as a 10.5 should.

On the 3rd try, the shoes fit!! He tried the hook and loop sneaker, but the straps were too short. So I ordered the size 11 shoe, but it was too long. The 10.5 extra wide did the trick! Very comfortable shoes!
