I guess one has to complain about something here! The shoe strings are a bit too short at 46". They will fit if you don't use the last hole on each side. You will need to look for 54" shoe strings if you want to use the holes as designed. These sneakers also run a bit on the small size. I usually fit comfortably in 7.5 Nikes, but with the New Balances, I need to be in wide. The wide label suffix is "2E". My old pair of New Balance cross trainer shoes were "4E" which is extra-wide (in other words, they were 7.5 4E - you will find that under the shoes' tongues). The 4Es are just a few mm wider than the 2Es and I figured correctly that they wouldn't make much of a difference. These arrived yesterday and I wore them for a few hours then and all day today and I would say that they don't require much more breaking in. Speaking just for myself here, I think they're good enough to order a second pair.

I’ve got wide feet and haven’t found any other brand that consistently provides adequate comfort. I’ve had no complaints on the fit or finish over the many years I’ve purchased. The shoes seem well made and reasonably long lasting. New Balance is my go-to shoe!

I would not recommend working out in these, they will likely get damaged. Running should be ok, but don't use these as running shoes, because they aren't really durable. I use them as casual shoes, just walking. They are very comfortable and the insoles come out if you want to put some Dr. Scholls in them, just cut the new insole into the shape of the original insole that came with the shoe. Update: I've been wearing them, running and walking every day in them for the past month and a half. They hold up very well. Nothing has happened to them, they just got dirty, so I mixed dishwashing detergent in water and scrubbed the sole and outside of the shoe. They still look pretty new, even after falling, stepping in mud, taking sharp steps, etc. For the price, they're very decent shoes and I'd recommend them.

I read a lot of the negative reviews about these shoes and was a little nervous but bought them anyway. I can honestly say all the negative things I read were completely wrong in my case. The comfort right out of the box was perfect, as I would expect. I have been wearing New Balance for many years and have rarely if ever been disappointed. The fit was perfect too. Soon after I put them on, I went for a 25-minute walk. They felt great with no break in needed. This was despite the fact that I had a large open blister on the back of my foot due to a walk with another pair of shoes. Another negative thing I read was that the shoes were too heavy. I definitely did not find this to be the case. They were as light as I expected. I am very happy with the purchase and would buy them again.

I've been a long time customer of New Balance as they have one of the best selections of athletic shoes in wide width. I actually bought these for wearing out in my garage while working there. In the past I would just wear older New Balance shoes that were retired from regular service. However, these were on sale, and I needed a new pair of garage shoes. I am happy with my purchase.

Nice shoes and I will be keeping them because I already used them but they are a bit tight in the toe area. I picked 8 and half Wide which is what I always use in my sneakers, but I guess these are going to need more breaking in than usual.
