These are only $40, and being made in the USA is a plus. I am using them for inside shoes (i.e. house shoes), so I'm not expecting a lot. The soles were stiff at first but have softened up to just the right bounce after a couple of weeks (I weigh 230 lbs). I bought a 12, and was able to insert a Dr Scholl's insert without cutting it. Those insoles are cut for a 13, though it is more like a 12.5. I wear 12/13- depending upon the shoe, and these feel just right at 12. If you are a wide foot then you might feel differently, of course. The two shortcomings are the 47 in laces (too short) and the lack of protection provided by the tongue. Even with elastic laces set up to be slip-ons, there is still an intrusion of pain. It may just be me and my sensitive feet, but I don't feel this way in a pair of Hokas (though they are 3 times the price. I already wear a pretty thick cotton sock, but the laces still transmit through to my foot. I may glue so moleskin to the underside of the tongue to deflect any "point loads" away from my wimpy feet.

I am pretty picky about shoes, and when I first bought 410v5, I finally found a shoe that both fit right and was comfortable. So, I hurried up and bought three more pairs. Each pair has lasted approximately a year of frequent wear. I knew eventually they would change designs, as shoe companies always do, so I tried to buy more 410v5’s recently, but my luck had run out. So, I bought the 410v7’s and as soon as I took them out of the box, I knew my new friend was just not the same. They felt lighter and cheaper. I weighed one of the v7’s on a kitchen scale and one of my older v5’s, and to my amazement they both weighed the same. But, something is off in the toe area, it is softer, larger, and less durable looking. Time will tell, but not as happy with them as the v5’s.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He has large wide feet and it is usually hard to find him shoes that fit well. I bought the size 14. He says that they fit him well and they do not hurt his feet after wearing for long periods of time. He also says that he has plenty of toe room. So far they have been the best ones.

I'm a field service tech who currently performs a lot of commercial fire alarm inspections. I generally walk 4 to 6 miles a day, mostly indoors, up and down stairs, ladders, carpet and hard floors, etc, but I do some exterior work as well. An all purpose shoe is a necessity for me, and I have had great luck with the N. I bought some Asics at a comparable price point, but they were too small and uncomfortable, and I needed another shoe ASAP. Despite a handful of negative reviews, I gave these a shot. Out of the box, they were immediately more comfortable and better fitting than the Asics, but maybe not as good as some past New balance shoes. I wore these to work and logged some 7.4 miles (per Google Fit, fwiw). Today, another 6 miles, with far too many steps and ladders. Fit and comfort depend on a lot of factors. I don't know what you thought of your previous shoes, or how you like them to fit, but I have had a lot of New Balance shoes, and I rate these solidly middle of the pack. You don't get perfect shoes at this price point. You just don't. That being said, I'm fairly pleased with these. Decent grip, decent comfort, they look nice, and they're cheap enough that I won't feel bad when I wear them out.

These shoes are incredible, once I got the right size. I’ve been wearing the same size since high school, but these are AT LEAST a half size too small. I ordered a half size up (after trying in my normal size, ordered initially) and was very happy that I chose the “try before you buy” option. The half size larger shoe feels like I am walking in a cloud, and I am VERY happy with my first New Balance Shoe purchase!!!

Love these shoes. I had a very similar pair for the last few years that I have really liked. This time I wanted to try with the darker sole color. White soles get so dirty and stained. I have worn size 10 for many years but lately my shoes are feeling tight so I went with 10.5. Perfect fit.
