This is my fourth New Balance 410 purchase over a 10-year period. Only the colors have changed. The size 10 4E shoe fits my foot perfectly and it gets plenty of use through hiking, walking, and other casual wear. My only suggestion to buyers is to replace the insert with a new one. I use Dr. Shole's, but any decent one with an arch does me fine.

This is the second time I have ordered these shoes in the past few months. I have worn this model since the first version ( now V7 ) and have always worn the same size. I sent the last pair back because they were too small. I ordered the same shoes (different color), same size, thinking the last orders sizing problem was a fluke. Nope, the new pair were just as small as the previous ones. I thought maybe it's my feet and not the shoes, but I still wear the same size in all other shoes. I went to a store to try on some other New Balance models and they were all too small. I tried going up to the next size and they were too big. Sorry New Balance, it looks like I need to find another brand of trail runners.

Excellent traction and comfort. They squeaked a lot when I first bought them but after wearing them several times they were broken in. Seems like a pretty durable shoe for the price and size was accurate.

When your wife and friends start to give you that look that your Dad frugality is a bit too strong and it can be seen in the hammered shoes that you have been trying to extend past their lifetime ... these are decent shoes to try out. We actually used the "prime try before you buy" feature with these and that was a super nice featuer that helped us eiliminate some shoes that were simply not going to work for various reasons. I'm a taller, active Dad that has higher arches and I simply appreciate: - Shoes that aren't hated by my wife (like my Crocs were ... they are really pretty nice shoes as long as you are not single and trying to date), - Shoes that last more than a few months when respectfully taken care of and not worn all of the time, - Shoes that can be thrown in the washing machine and air dried without falling apart, - Comfortable shoes that offer higher arch support (which these did not without additional inserts, but the Under Armour Men's Charged Pursuit 3 Running Shoes did), & - Shoes that don't cost so damn much. These shoes are comfortable, and supportive (with some arch supports in my case), and offer a stronger tread design that works well on trails. I am told that they are attractive as well. They are very comfotable to run in and for casual wear ... and they look like they will last longer with their tougher tread. The green/black/yellow is good looking. I will likely come back to purchase another set when these wear down.

I am leery about ordering shoes online but took a chance on these. They fit true to size and are very comfortable. I always wear New Balance for every day use. I walk for exercise and appreciate the support trail shoes offer. I will buy these again.
