These sneakers are so beautiful, but I regret buying them. Kids will be kids, and my daughter wore them twice to school before they looked like they've been through the mill. These are my son's favorite shoes (7 years old). He has wide feet, still struggles to tie his sneakers, and he thinks these are the coolest shoes around. The device on the side to tighten them really is clever, and they fit him well enough to run and play all day.

I purchased these sneakers for my eight year old daughter. Well she loves them. I would suggest you learn how to untighten the shoe before putting them on the kiddos. You pull out the circular nob on the shoe to loosen the strings. Now you just twist the circular nob on the shoe to tighten the shoe. I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to slip on and off w/o loosening them because once you've broken the string the shoe is probably useless. I love the look of the shoe. It's not a heavy shoe. I've never seen a shoe quite like this with the shoe string is a nob. It's very feminine and cute. I'd purchase an adult version if they had it. ... show more

Finally, someone made something that isn't velcro or ties! My daughter loves to put her shoes on by herself and her daycare teachers have even commented on how easy and ingenious they are! They look cute and haven't worn like most velcro or laced shoes do - these still look almost new!
