The gold is more of a bronze / orangy gold but the frame is thin enough that it doesn’t look bad. My main issue is that I ordered a 71x32 mirror and it measures exactly 69.5x30.5. I give up. This product would have been great if the size was correct. The first one I received was 68" x 31" which I returned. The second size was only one inch longer than the first one, but the return process with Amazon (via UPS pick-up) was so tiresome (the UPS guy rang the bell, waited all of 10 seconds and the left; so I had to spend another 30 minutes chatting with an Amazon rep who told me that they cannot add instructions, so I would just have to try my luck again...and again) I'm just going to keep it.
