Lately my favorite sunscreen, had to start coming to Amazon to find it, glad we did! It actually goes on thick enough that it helps with the sun, doesn’t feel TOO oily or sticky, and we kinda like the smell too.

Sprays on evenly and lasts quite a while even when it’s particularly humid. Not greasy. No weird odor. Neutragena makes some great products and this is definitely one of them. Highly recommended.

This spray version of their Sport SPF 70+ sunscreen was a significant disappointment. I decided to try this over the 2.5 oz Sport Face SPF 70+ lotion as it would be nice to make it a little easier to apply sunscreen. Note that I use the Sport Face lotion elsewhere, not just for face. And I thought, with the higher number of ounces maybe it could last longer than lotion. I have been super happy with the lotion over many years. I like many Neutrogena products too. I wondered if this could be a new thing to add to my continual supplying of sunscreens. -- This was my thinking going into trying this spray version. Even though this spray offers 5 oz to the 2.5 oz lotion for "face" that I would normally use, a single can lasted significantly less than the lotion version. In fact I went through two 5 oz spray cans in about the same time as one 2.5 oz lotion for "face". Yes, the spray made it easier and quicker to apply. But that is not a big enough trade-off for me. It doesn't take all that much longer to use lotion instead. Another negative is that you need to apply it in a space where there is sufficient ventilation, and where it won't create a mess/problem if the spray reaches nearby surfaces. I think nearly all sunscreen instructions say to apply sunscreen 20-30 minutes before going into the sun. For many people, like me, that means applying indoors. But in the end I had to spray this in my shower, while holding my breath, because without doing so it was sticking to the floor and nearby door leaving a disgusting film that then needed cleaning. Certainly a lot of people apply sunscreen for the very first time only after they reach the pool or beach. To each his own. But being as fair-skinned as I am doing so leaves me much more likely to burn or burn sooner. Despite the negatives I will say that I think the spray version is equally effective as the lotion version. Being fair skinned, I am highly sensitive to differences between all sorts of sunscreens. I burn easily. But I didn't notice any significant differences. That said, they are not exactly the same formula to each other. And they can't be because they exist in different physical states, one as an aerosol and the other as a lotion at the same temperatures. It's science. So if you expect them to feel and react to your skin exactly the same way you are most likely going to be disappointed. However, neither reacted/reacts poorly with my skin. So I think both have equal effectiveness. Though, I do prefer the way my skin feels after I have come back in from the sun when using the lotion. It's less filmy for me. ... show more
