Well made and in excellent condition (I bought used). I just wish the description had said the lining was polyester as I am very allergic to it. It only said leather and waxed canvas as materials. I am keeping the bag, but will probably have to rip out the lining.

Oh, I really liked this backpack! People complimented me on it, particularly the deep green color and stylishness. And it has great capacity without being huge. Today, the right shoulder strap tore off where it meets the lower bottom corner of the bag. It must have been coming apart unnoticed by me for a while, but today it gave way. Yesterday, the stitching on one of the the magnetic snaps gave way, leaving me with just one snap, and one working strap! I've included images of the good remaining strap and snap, followed by the ones that failed. At first the only annoying things about this bag were 1. getting the magnets lined up quickly to close the main flap. It was better than a real buckle situation, but you needed to hit it just right to click the magnet in place. and 2. The side pockets are large enough to stow a moderately sized water bottle, but if you have big hands like me, they are a little too snug to really get in there and fish things out of the bottom of the pocket. (see pics). But with the stitching failure and the complete tearing away of the shoulder strap, I'm really disappointed. I loved this bag. Only had it for about three months of normal use before it came apart. You'd think I abused it, carried really heavy stuff, overfilled it, etc. but I truly did not. The workmanship has proven to be much cheaper than it looks. I hate writing bad reviews, but buyer beware.

I bought this based on the indicated size and price. On the proce front, whether it's worth it will depend on how long it lasts. But I dont get the feeling it will last long. On the size front, it is not accurate. Its a lot smaller than you think or are led to believe. The dimensions given are external dimensions, and even then its a stretch to say the size is accurate. I bought this to replace another, smaller pack, but this one is actually the smaller one as the old pack was described using the inside dimensions. So that's a miss right there. I dont see how a 17" laptop will fit. I have a 16" wide and while it will fit in the pocket, you can't secure it and can't use the drawstring to close. The material is extremely stiff. It looks and feels like canvas, but you can tell it isn't. Feels like a semi-flexi le plastic. I'm not really happy with it. For a little more I could have gotten an actual larger and nicer pack. I'm probably going to send this one back.
