  • The true King of all Nerf blasters
I knew that this was a very good blaster. I decided to put it onto my Christmas list. I received it and had it running in 5 mins. The blaster has many pros and a few cons. PROS: High rate of fire Shoots very hard 200 rounds is incredible. It can even hold comfortably 250 rounds and still work I was able to operate this blaster with ease and I am only 12 Not to cramped for adults Comfortable handles Defeats all blasters in a war Looks intimidating and cool Battery lasts for quite some time Could be used as a turret at a base Fast and easy reload and unload Easy to unjam CONS: The blaster is not traditional, you hold it by your waist instead of on your shoulder. Some may not like that. Younger kids may not be able to lift it Shoots hard and fast, little ones may cry if hit $200 is really expensive You could lose rounds quite easy, and rounds are not super cheap I think that this blaster is the game winner. Do not get for people that cry when hit. Do not buy for kids that can not life heavy blasters. Great for competitions because you can hold down the trigger and take down a whole group. Definitely a heavy gunner's weapon. All hail: The kind of Rival blasters(and possibly all of Nerf blasters, too!) ... show more

  • If Pure Volume Of Fire And/Or OVERWHELMING Force Is Your Thing....You Have Found Your Nerf Gun!
Look, I'm an old man, Ancient by Nerf standards. I had some of the very first Nerf dart shooters and I have dabbled in the hobby on and off ever since. This is the very first Nerf gun I have ever owned, that met and exceeded every single expectation I had. This thing is a bullet hose and I freekin LOVE it. I'll pro con it for you in a minute, but lets talk for a moment, just you and me.... Lately Nerf battles have begun to break out in our office. There was the odd hammershot, a Kronos or two. Before long the mega blasters arrived with their whistling foam sticks of doom. Soon things escalated to magazine fed nerf rifles, and then the flywheel blasters arrived. I contented myself for a time with two hammershots (upgraded of course). They were accurate and with the 7 round 3d printed cylinders they had plenty of power. One day I decided I was not content to come out slightly on top of the game, I wanted to scare people back into their cubes or punish them severely for daring to take a cheap shot at me. I bought a Nemesis, and I was disappointed. It's not bad, but not nearly what I expected. Then this bad boy went on sale for Black Friday, I held off as long as I could, we have a baby on the way after all. In the end I was weak and I pulled the trigger. Boy am I glad I did! This thing blows away all my expectations it is an absolute monster, and after one day on the floor NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE wants to even think about taking a shot at me. This baby absolutely BURRIES people in balls. The rate of fire is absurd, the power is outstanding, and the reactions it gets are second to none! Brass Tax Time: Pro's: Unmatched Rate of Fire (nothing else Nerf makes is even close to this rate of fire) Excellent velocity (often times rate of fire takes the place of good power, this baby has both) Holds ~275 rounds (and trust me you will need them) Includes 200 balls (Even if you go aftermarket that's 30 bucks worth of ammo, if you go Nerf it's closer to $50) Includes rechargeable battery (It's proprietary so it only works with this blaster, but still there are no batteries to buy...EVER) Looks like a monster (It's bite is every bit as bad, if not worse, than it's bark) Cons: Difficult to Aim, there is no way to aim this thing well. This is a volume of fire blaster and not a precision instrument. I have hit several innocents due to my first rounds going high and carrying a VERY long way across the office. After you let someone have it you have to go pick up HUGE amounts of spent ammunition. 8 seconds of fun means 5 minutes of gathering up your ammo. Normally I ding flywheel blasters for having to spin up, but this thing spins up nearly instantly. Blaster is hands down better than the nemesis. I would never pay the retail price of $199 for ANY Nerf blaster, that includes this one even as good as it is. I bought it on sale for $89 on black Friday and for that price it is a STEAL. My limit on a silly fun expense like this is around $100, and it's still a hell of a deal for that price. I would imagine you can get this thing for $120 and if you can I would consider that a good price on a great blaster. How much a toy blaster is worth to you, I can't say, but I'm confident once you pull the trigger you won't be able to take the smile off your face! ... show more

  • How to go FULL BEAST MODE in a Nerf Battle??? Buy a Prometheus.
It's that simple. This thing is a monster! You can fit almost 300 balls in this things hopper. The battery life is incredible. It comes WITH 200 balls. That alone would typically cost you fifty dollars! I own a Perses, Helios, Hades, Hera, Kronos, Chaos, Nemesis, and a bunch of nerf dart blasters. And this is my second favorite. only to the perses. The firing power of almost 300 balls is insane. It packs a punch. They sting when they hit you. Almost 8 balls a second is CRAZY awesome. And it really does deliver on all these things. The only downside to this blaster is the price. The price of the blaster itself has been remedied I feel. The msrp was $200 but now you can find it on Amazon most of the time for right around a hundred bucks. Which I feel is fair considering how many balls it comes with and what they cost. Which brings me to my other cost downside. Your reload. At almost a 300 ball capacity the reload on this thing will run you anywhere from 30 for non name knock offs to 75 for nerf brand. This isnt a big deal if you plan to play indoors. Because odds are you will find 90% of your balls when you're done. But playing outside means you're going to lose alot. Especially when you factor in that you're only way to aim is to use your line of balls blasting out of this thing. All in all it is a fantastic buy if you can get it at the right price. It is UNBELIEVABLY fun to use. Not having to reload often makes it so much less work. I highly reccomend adding one to your collection. I definitely want to buy another one ... show more
