The media could not be loaded. My garage was so dark before adding these windows. Installation is pretty easy using a cutoff grinder. I would say total time to install four windows was a couple hours. See video for comments. Overall I would recommend and am happy with the purchase and quality of product. So nice to have some natural light in the garage now.

I just installed the windows in my garage door so my review is only for the fit, finish and install currently, I will follow up as time passes. The windows exceed my expectations when I first opened the box, the windows are very well made with hardware need to install supplied. The windows seal up nicely around the hole openings I cut to install the windows. I would recommend the windows to anyone wanting to add natural light to a garage.

This is a fine set of garage door windows. The instructed size for making the cuts is a little big, but does provide some adjustment space in case your lines aren’t perfect. The 2-piece construction of the frame is a little harder to install alone, and no instructions were given for where to caulk. If you apply a bead around the outer frame and a light bead on the raised bar inside, you should have pretty good sealing. You can always add another bead around the outside frame and inside frame, sealing to the garage door, if there’s any concerns. Note to handle the polycarbonate window carefully. The “outside” film needs to be removed to remove distortion/diffusion before fully installing, but be super careful with damage, scratches, and dirtiness. This is one of the last things you want to have to clean, because almost no matter what, you will leave at a minimum finer-than-hairline scratches. From a distance, this should be invisible, but when you look closely, you may be surprised. Also, install all the screws all around the frame, as that will help pull all the frame edges to square and prevent a canted install (parts of the frame wanting to fall out/away or distortion) while you need to install or align.

I intended to install these in a 8' x 7' Clopay door in my workshop, but when I'm working in there, I have the door open anyway, so I opted instead to install them in the walls of the building at various locations to get more natural light in the entire space. The size of them fits between 16” spaced studs (14.5” between the studs and these are 14”), so all I had to do was cut the siding, put a couple of 2x4 blocks top and bottom, separated the frames, place the window in the opening and attach the frames back together. The frame accommodates from 1-5/8" to 2" so with 1.5" (thickness of the 2 x 4) and 3/8" for the siding, it worked perfectly. I used some caulking on the outside frame against the siding to waterproof them as extra protection against leaking, especially where the grooves are in the siding. Very happy with the result and they let a lot of light in, so I don't have to turn on the overhead lights when I just go into the workshop to grab something quick and they also make the building look nicer as well... like a carriage house effect. I even built some faux shutters with crossbucks to go on either side of them and they look even better. For only 35 bucks each, this is an inexpensive and easy way to add light into just about any type of outbuilding on a budget and look nice as well. Shipped and received fast. 5- Stars!
