I'm nearsighted but lost my glasses and didnt know what strength to get. I seen the -2 was sold out so I decided to get the -1.75 and the -2.50 to see which one might be better and the price was only 6 dollars each and so I dont mind wasting another 6 bucks for trial and error. Turns out the -1.75 is perfect for me! It's very slightly less strength than my prescription but I think it's perfect because it doesn't leave me with a headache from longer all day use. Even though you can't order it with astigmatism correction, I can see better out of these than my prescription glasses. Be sure and don't mistake these for reading glasses. Reading glasses have a + prescription, these distance glasses have a - prescription.

My Nephew could not see me in the car 20 ft. in front of him at the school parking lot. Then one time I got out of the car and I saw him walking towards me he could not recognize me until he was 5 ft away. And I'm 6'3" . So I got him a pair of these, guessing the Magnification. I always had exceptional vision near and far until I turned 40. But he put these on and started looking around.. "Wow I can see is this how you experience the world being able to see?
