Let me start off by saying that I don't have any affiliation with Amazon or who they sell for. Now 3 weeks ago I had cataract eye surgery, and I could only see close up.     • Excellent Glasses for Working at the Computer

I ordered the -1.5 version of these, and for me they've turned out to be excellent glasses for working at the computer. The correction works very well at the distance I normally sit from my monitors, and everything is noticeably clearer and easier to see. I also really like the blue-light filtering while spending long periods in front of the computer. That's actually where I've gotten the most use out of these. I wouldn't really consider them sunglasses. While the lenses have the light-sensitive/photochromic feature, that's not what I bought them for and I haven't found that to be their strong point. As inexpensive computer and distance glasses, though, I've been very happy with them. They're lightweight, comfortable, and the -1.5 lenses work great for me. ... show more

The design is good, the lenses seem of good quality and they are very light weight, that being said, the advertisement for these glasses describe them as having “spring hinges”, they DO NOT have spring hinges. One of the nose pieces were missing, (which I replaced myself because I happened to have a glasses repair kit). Final thoughts are….. in hindsight, I would have just ordered a pair of sunglasses that were built a little more sturdy, with the spring hinges and it would have been about the same price as I paid for these! ... show more

These glasses are better than my prescription glasses. When I tried them on, I was amazed at how clear the world was. I couldn't believe how much I had been missing. The frames seem sturdy and are comfortable, lightweight too. I wish I had tried these before I paid three hundred dollars for my prescription glasses. I ordered the 1.5. I just guessed but it worked out great. I can't believe 25 dollars gets better results than obviously overpriced technology. The photochromic feature is a nice bonus. When you get to a certain point in life you may find yourself needing a little help with your vision; in my case I had cataract surgery a couple of years ago. I chose to have my new prescription optimized for computer distance so I still need glasses to assist with my distance vision. Several years ago I paid about $200 for a pair of “distance” glasses to wear over my contact lenses while driving; they were amazing for me yet did nothing for my husband who’s far-sighted, not myopic like me. That little bit of strength made street signs more legible for me and, let’s face it, seeing more clearly is both more fun AND safe! So imagine my excitement when I discovered these “cheaters” for distance!! I checked my prescription pair and they were -1.0 diopters (that -minus sign is important - these are NOT reading glasses) so I took a chance and ordered the -1.5 to see how they compare. Holy cows but the lenses are PERFECT - that extra -.5 made everything that much crisper and clearer! The frames are a good fit and I think they look fairly flattering (no idea why they’re not listed as gender-neutral). I’d give 10 stars if I could because they are nice quality at an awesome price!! Seriously, these are a true game-changer for anyone who has severe myopia/astigmatism and needs a boost on top of their regular prescription. HIGHLY recommend!! I have worn contacts for the last 30+ years to correct my nearsightedness. I have always sweated scratching or otherwise injuring the surface of my eye(s) wherein I could no longer wear my contacts but still needing that distance vision (e.g. driving). In the past I kept an old pair of my prescription glasses for just such a purpose, but those frames went out of style long ago. I saw these Lovispecs glasses and knowing that my diopter is between -1.25 and -1.5 it was easy to go with the closest offering (-1.5). When the glasses arrived, I removed my contacts, put on the glasses, and looked out the window. To my delight, my view was clear and sharp. I was also pleased with the lightweight and contemporary look. The bonus is that, in the event I have to wear these while driving, the photochromatic feature and UV blocking will protect my eyes during the day. The $25 price point seems fair, especially considering the cost of a similar pair of glasses from my optometrist. ... show more
