This is how the fern look straight out of the box! No fiddling or arranging and it already looks great. Turned out to be too big for this area but they look fabulous on my new patio by my firepit! I'd put a small patio out there because it's so shady grass won't grow and my yard was washing away so plants certainly do well. These are perfect out there. Very realistic and nothing "plastic" looking about them. Excellent price on two ferns, seriously great price and they even have hangers. I really thought I'd get a stack of fern frons and I'd have to do all the work, these are a nice surprise and I highly recommend them. ... show more

I bought 3 to hang outside, partially protected, primarily as sanctuaries for birds during bad weather and to nest in. The decor aspect was secondary but they had to look good and real since you see them when you approach my house. I’d tried real ferns and they quickly died. I would give these 5 stars on appearance. They look as good as ones I’ve seen going for $300. Here’s what I didn’t like. They’re “planted” in white styrofoam squares that the skimpy amount of Spanish Moss they come with doesn’t cover. The manufacturer should consider green styrofoam. I’m referring to the color green but something more biodegradable would be nice too. I had to buy more Spanish Moss to cover it since a tall person walking by could easily see the white. Wasn’t a big expense ($3), thank you Dollar Store. Then I noticed they turned around a lot when there was the slightest breeze. What bird would nest in something moving all the time? They’re so much lighter than real ones because there’s no dirt in them. The hanging ropes also lend themselves to twirling. Back to the Dollar Store to buy 3 bags of tiny rocks. Put two bags in each. Much better. I’m mentioning this for the bird lovers. Not sure how they’ll stand the test of time and bad weather. Not sure if birds will nest in a plant that isn’t real. I’ll let you know. They really look nice compared to the real ones that only looked nice for about two weeks. UPDATE: Yes! Birds staying in them at night, more than one to a fern. Hope they will nest in the spring. However, they pecked at the styrofoam to dig out little spaces for themselves and tiny white pieces are underneath them I have to clean up. Not that big a deal but these would be so much better with a green and eco-friendly material in the basket. ... show more

Love the fake plants , you fluff the leaves a little and they look so real. No complaints about the plants and the basket and rope type hanging, however bought or delivered on July 16 and yesterday Aug.25 the hanging rope on noe just unraveled and my plant was on the ground. Covered front porch ,protected from rain and wind and for no reason, just unraveled. Can’t fix to look good again or like the other( bought 2 )one, so not very pleased about that. If it wasn’t for that I’d be happy with my purchase and give it 5 stars. But the plants themselves are good. ... show more

The Nearly Natural fern is realistic looking and large. After bending the fronds downward to cover the basket, it is still at least 3ft across. I like the macrame hanging rope. Not cheap, but worth it because it is very bushy with a great many fronds.
