I've had this for only about 2.5 years and it is tearing at several spots through normal usage. The fabric has always been a little rough and scratchy that I hoped would go away with use. It is not breathable at all so it is very warm which I love but my husband overheats easily.

I purchased this comforter because of the respected brand name, the color and pattern, and the fact that it was 100% cotton. The color and pattern was as expected. However, the cotton fabric was a disappointment. Instead of the smooth and soft cotton fabric I expected, the fabric was coarse and stiff. In short, unpleasant to the touch. We are really enjoying the feel of this comforter. It's a medium-light weight. Laying on top of it feels like a fluffy cloud. Sleeping under it feels great too. It's not heavy but it keeps you warm. Update June 2023: still had a polyester feel to it and just washed it with downey rinse and refresh in the rinse cycle and wow it's softer than ever in one wash. Completely changed the feel.     • Nice comforter but get a size bigger than you need.

It's a nice comforter but the Queen sized one is too small for my Queen sized bed, would have been better off getting a King sized one. I would have returned it but I washed it first while I was waiting for my new bed to arrive.
