I am extremely unhappy that the description states it is 12 boxes of 6 each but I rec'd 1 box of 6 each. The cost is astronomical for 1 box of 6 each! I "returned" it & asked for the replacement, thinking I would receive the 12 boxes but again, only received 1 box. Very disappointing that NO ONE read that I wanted the 12 boxes & again sent 1 box. I stay pretty busy and like to have a quick snack around for breakfast or during the afternoon. I typically keep granola bars or Zone bars around for a quick protein pick-me-up, so these looked really tempting and i thought I would give them a try. Taste: I think these are some of the best tasting bars out there. The bars have a "white chocolate" coating on the bottom (which is the sweet - and I am not sure is actually white chocolate) and a salty taste on the top. The mix of sweet and salty really makes for a great taste and the almonds (if you like them as much as I do) create an almost "buttery" like flavor. These really hit the spot. Content: If you are somewhat active, I don't think that you have to get too picky about the fat content. Besides, some fats are actually not bad for you and good for the body (and brain), such as those found in nuts. But I don't want to get into too much of a health debate becuase these are a snack, not a meal replacement. They are a great snack that give's you just enough to make it to the next meal. Some folks may get too focused on the nutrition label and nit pick to see the big picture and miss out on these. As long as you aren't eating these by the boxful, they are a great snack that will carry you until the next meal. Overall: I love them. We've bought a few more boxes since we tried these and I can say they are the best snack we've had in a while. Great for a road trip of to throw in the backpack. We haven't tried the other flavors yet, since we all really like the Almond ones. Don't take my word for it. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed. ... show more

I first tried one of these bars when my husband and I went on a long bike ride. We picked one up at a gas station before we started our trip. These bars are so good! I was so shocked to find how tasty they were. They almonds are great in the bars and made me feel good about picking up a healthy snack. It was sweet enough and salty and very satisfying. I really loved it! As soon as we got back home then I checked on amazon and found a great deal and bought 12 boxes of them! They are seriously that good and perfect for taking on a bike ride or a hike. They are perfect for just an afternoon snack as well. You must go and buy some right now! If you like almonds and sweet and salty combination, you'll like this. However, as a standalone bar, I do agree with some of the reviewers that it is too sweet. However, I eat them with my black coffee with no sugar, so I wanted something that actually has some sweetness. This is perfect with it. The reviewer that said that the price is too high does not know simple math. This is the best price if you buy on Subscribe and Save. It comes out to less then $2/box, which is cheaper then buying it from Walmart on sale. At 7.4 oz/box for ~ $2 is a good deal, when it cost about the same for other junk that is less healthier then this. ... show more

Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut Granola Bars are delicious--especially the Almond variety. Each bar has a generous number of whole almonds. I like these as a mid-morning snack after doing my workouts because they are a great energy source. They are soft and chewy--a refreshing change from the traditional dry and crunchy type granola bar. This is a good product, my athlete kids eat them, carry them with them to events. But at 3.25 per box, buying them 12 at a time, you would think you would get a break. At our local grocery store, they are 2.44 per box. I price check most of the things I buy on-line and Amazon has always been competitive - certainly not here though. Amazon, I am disappointed. I used to buy them at local grocery stores. It is my staple breakfast on weekdays. The bars are tasty, easy to carry in purse and one can munch on them in the office without making a mess. They are not as lean as some of the other granola bars. But I prefer the moistness of it than the lean kind.
