I try to eat a fairly healthy diet. It's not perfect but I've cut out and added a lot of different things over the years to make it better. I'm not a huge sweets person but I do like them on occasion so I went looking for something that would satisfy my sweet tooth without being too bad for you. I remember my mom loving fig newtons when I was a kid and I don't recall disliking them so I figured I'd give these a try. We have someone in the household with a severe nut allergy so I do have to be careful when purchasing food. I always buy nut free because of that and also because I'm not a huge fan of them anyway. These Natures Bakery Blueberry Fig Bars seemed to satisfy that. They arrived quickly and packaged well. The box wasn't damaged and the contents were all intact. From the first bite, I think I fell in love. They were fresh and sweet without being sugary. I could taste the blueberry along with the fig. It's a wonderful blend of flavors. I have already added them to my shopping list as they are affordable and come in array of other flavors that I can't wait to try. ... show more

These are good for taking along with you to work/school, as as extra boost of energy at breakfast/snack times, and the flavor is good to the palate and tongue as well as providing healthy benefits for the body.
