This log decoration has nice quality and a good heft to it, which makes it feel sturdy. It sits solidly wherever placed, and would fit just as well in water as in a terrarium. This works well as a basking spot or hideout, or to add some interest and a place for fish to hide out. The paint job is simple, but looks pretty good in place. The moss texture reads more as dark gray, almost like a bark texture, but it adds nice texture and dimension rather than looking flat. Apart from that detail, the colors work well, and the surface has good texture that mimics wood bark. I like that the inside is painted brown too, rather than left unfinished. Overall, the value feels decent given the quality of the paint work and the weight of the piece. ... show more

I use this in my aquarium. My shrimp and small fish use it to hide in. It adds an attractive, small feature to my planted tank. It seems to be holding up without any fading so far. There wasn't any sharp or rough areas so its safe for my stock. Would purchase again.

Color wise, it's hard to tell, but the one being reviewed is the one with the toad on it. It's really nice quality, and did not come with the typical chemical smell, so that's nice. It looks great, as you can see in pic, and it's a nice size for the environment. I love adding to my toads home, and this one was a nice addition, at a nicer value. ... show more

This hide is smaller than I expected. Honestly, nothing bigger than a baby leopard gecko can fit inside it. However, it is made from sturdy material and the design is so realistic that it would fit in perfectly with a bioactive setup. It's lightweight, so i wouldn't expect an animal to injure itself. This is DEFINITEY small. A full grown Leopard Gecko would BARELY fit through it. I still put it in his tank so he can climb over it, but he refuses to go in it. This would be best for a smaller lizard or animal. MAYBE a baby Leopard Gecko? Definitely not a full grown.

This hide looks nice and has a great paint job. It is as sturdy as it needs to be as a hide. It doesn't weigh much. I have mine sunk halfway into the substrate for my snake to make a sort of cave and she likes it. Cleaning is easy. You just wash it the same way you would anything else in the enclosure. It fits well in my enclosure and with my existing decor. This is great for smaller snakes but would also be good for geckos and other pets that live in terrariums. ... show more
