My 7 y.o. granddaughter loved this, and it seemed to take her forever to dig thru, which is a good thing. Be sure to put it in a larger box lid to work on, because it is very messy, but worth it. It's not something you finish in one sitting either, so patience is required.

This is a very engaging toy. I remember when I was a kid my neighbor friends would get stuff like this and I was sooo jealous lol. It's a great way for kids to explore, learn, and have fun. My only complaint is that I wish it came with better tools, the fossils are hard to dig out for a 6 year old.

Homeschooling our 6 year old, I loved to teach science hands on. So each week we focused on a topic and on fridays we did a lab related to that topic. She loved digging for rocks and minerals, and after finding them we’d do the hardness test and label what types they were!

We bought this to help with a homeschool assignment. We mapped it, labeled the areas, numbered the objects, and identified the objects in a notebook. This is a great product. We had fun working on it. I will definitely buy more National Geographic sets.

My Little brother loved it, the bone that comes in actually feels real and we got a gift, a dino poop, funny! Just gotta watch out and be ready for all the mess that comes for dig it. The digging was easy, so I do recommend for any kids!
