I really like mid-century modern while my partner leans towards more “modern” style decor. I think this piece is a great mix of both and I was looking for something of a specific size to fit in our living room and this was perfect. We just needed something for store games and to display my circus bar glasses. I believe the quality is pretty good and it’s a very stable piece. I also thought the instructions were very clear and whoever wrote them has a great sense of humor. They estimate 60 minutes to fully complete assembly so of course I had to time this and for me it took more like an hour and a half, but to be fair I was interrupted a couple of times and I did this completely by myself. And I was also watching Netflix the whole time - see the pic of instructions. I thought the doors would be the hardest part to put together by myself, but they were actually very easy. Unfortunately, one corner of the top piece was damaged, although the item was packed very well, and there was no visible damage to the shipping box itself. Since I was really excited about this piece, I went ahead and put it together and have reached out to customer support to see if they could replace the top piece so, hopefully I hear from them soon. If I don’t, I will update this review. UPDATE on the damaged part: The seller reached out and provided a $60 gift card since they don't keep spare parts on hand. They also offered to replace the entire product but I opted for the $60. ... show more

I don't often write reviews but had to for this. It's so unusual these days for a product to be both affordable AND well made, but these are! They're extremely sturdy, they look much more expensive than they are. They directions are extremely easy to follow. I did use a drill for putting it together though it isn't recommended, I was just gentle with it, and I think it would have taken me a lot longer to do two of them if I hadn't. They even include extras of each screw, which is so thoughtful! It made me feel like they actually care about customer experience. I will for sure buy Nathan James in the future. ... show more

On the good side of things, the cabinet just looks really nice. It feels well made, and fit and finish were generally quite good (other than one small issue which I'll get to) - and I really didn't have to make any adjustments to anything once assembled, incuding the doors or feet, which can be screwed/unscrewed to change height on each corner. It wasn't difficult to put together, but took me more than the 60 minutes claimed. The feet were level, the doors were off just slightly at first but kind of evened out when I got the thing upright. Materials are pretty heavy, and quality feels generally very good. I have a feeling this cabinet will hold up well over time. Beware - the parts list is LONG, especially the screws and hardware (see photo) - so best to line up all of your parts bags and make sure everything's accounted for. Everything was well-labelled. They did include extras on most of the screws, thankfully. There are 17 steps to putting this together, so it was a bit more complex than I anticipated. The only issue was a small piece of finish peeled back. I am 100% sure it was packaged this way due to the nature of the blemish. The packaging was perfect with no damage to it, each item was well protected in the box, and the person who delivered it was quite careful. It's not significant enough to send it back or ask for a return, but its still annoying. I was hoping it wouldn't be on a visible part of the unit, but of course it's on the side of the board facing to the front so it's visible - fortunately on the bottom, at least. But this company needs to put a bit more of a fine tooth comb in its inspection process at the factory. There were no blemishes or defects anywhere else, and no missing parts. But I removed a star for this. I'll see if maybe I can glue it back down. Overall, I'd recommend - it seems well made, and a lot of detail was put into the instruction booklet. I also like their return policy (pictured). It comes with a nice guide showing you how to adjust the doors if they're uneven. ... show more

We bought four of these and lined them up together. They look like one big credenza. The top is sturdy and waterproof. Love the extra storage and how nice they look. Super easy to put together. Way cheaper than any we found anywhere else and they do not look cheap.
