The NANANARDOSO Nursery Room Shelves are not the bargain they appear to be. As someone who has the spice racks from a certain Swedish big-box store, I saw these and thought they might be comparable. They are not. The wood is soft and dents easily. These are pin nailed and the holes are not filled. The natural finish is sanded down, mostly, but there are splintery spots at the joints and messy glue in several spots. Most notably to me, the hardware is not countersunk for flush mounting, meaning they stick out from the wall with a gap on the sides. If you don't have access to the good ones, these may work if you see them as a craft project that you'll want to fix the hardware situation, fill the holes, and finish with a nice paint job or clear coat to make them look polished and nice. ... show more

These look like a dupe to the versatile Ikea spice racks but have a KEY difference. They are made of a very lightweight wood. The surface is easily dinged/dented and likely would not be a great choice for housing kids' books. I used one to put my planner on, but I'm a lot more careful than either of my children would be. Ikea spice racks can also be used upside down in a child's room for hanging clothes... I don't think I would try that with these. The bar doesn't seem like it would be sturdy enough to hold too much weight. The price is comparable to if you were to buy 4 spice racks at Ikea. If you just need some cute shelves to hold some light décor, these would be fine. If you're hoping for something to hold up to kids taking books off of it, this might not be the best choice. ... show more

These are natural wood so you may want to paint or stain them. They are cute little shelves that look great in a kids room but they would also look great anywhere in the house you might choose to put them. They feel very sturdy and I believe they will last a long time if taken care of.

I got the unfinished wood version and they look very cute! I may stain them to match the rest of the wood in the house. Construction is pretty solid, but I wouldn't put anything too heavy in them just becausethey are light. Comes with wall anchors and screws for fastening to the wall, so all you need is the tools to put them up! Excited to have these up and filled for our kids room! ... show more
