Description

From Rebecca Shaw and Ben Kronengold, the youngest comedy writers ever for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and masterminds behind the viral 2018 Yale graduation speech, comes a hilarious collection of short stories taking on coming-of-age, memes, sex, politics, relationships, and Goop, with satire, self-deprecation, and utter irreverence.Showing off their trademark humor and writing chops that have made them a viral sensation, Rebecca Shaw and Ben Kronengold provide a collection of startlingly funny short stories that will keep readers laughing.Naked in the Rideshare is a riotous collection of comedic short stories, bursting with the safe spaces, shrooms dealers, and Notes app apologies that define growing up right now. The essays take a drunken cannonball into this generation’s hopes and anxieties. A camp color war ends in ritual sacrifice. A twenty-something enters a sexual relationship with his childhood fairy god milf. A summit outside of space and time brings together a teen's selves from ages 1 to 81.Irreverent, disturbing, and surprisingly rife with hope, Naked in the Rideshare aims to shine a light on the generation we can’t stop talking about—and all the ways we get them so wrong. • Brilliant!!!
A creative depiction of growing up that should appeal to all generations. Numerous stories that made me laugh out loud, others that are beyond clever and so introspective, and all strike just the right chord. Highly recommend this collection of works by these amazingly talented writers!!

  • Thoroughly enjoyable. Funny and well written stories of a generation!
So many great stories that will have you laughing out loud, leave you smiling and give you a warm appreciation for the trials, tribulations and wackiness of the author's generation. Ben and Rebecca speak from the heart with a creative writing style and clever observational humor that stretches the imagination at times, while firmly grounded in the (sometimes) laughable reality of today's world. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to future material coming from this talented duo. ... show more

  • mismash of flash...fiction?
The first chapter was entertaining. After that it was a fast flip through with no seeming continuity.

  • Older than I thought I was, and still loved it!
“Funny, funny” ….. absolutely brilliant tales of what it must be like to be in your twenties in 2023. Though I struggled with some of the cultural references, due to my being an old fart, I got most of it and thanked the lord for having been born a long time ago. So much better reading ( and laughing) about millennialdom than actually being one. If you don’t ‘get ‘ this hysterical collection of brilliant tales, die already. ... show more
