this listing is confusing. I thought it contained gaitors and poles? It does not. I'm not complaining about the price for the snowshoes, but according to the listing it says it's all there. Just pay attention to the options when ordering.

Went for a 5 km hike in these snowshoes and they were great! The aluminum framing was light-weight and sturdy. The buckles and straps secured my boot in properly, and the snowshoes did not loosen or fall off during the hike. The metal spikes on the bottom of the snowshoe also helped secure footing really well during slopes, minimal to no slipping at all. The gators and hiking poles are also decent and complement the snowshoes nicely. One thing to note is that I am a size 6.5 US women in shoe size, and my boot just fit into the 21 inch snowshoes with strappings set to the smallest size (see included pictures). If you are a smaller shoe size, these snowshoes may be too big.

I purchased these partly because I was in a time crunch and I needed these for a trip the following weekend and because I had never gone snow shoeing and was not looking to put in too much of an investment until I had a chance to see if I liked the activity. I took these up to Donner Summit where we climbed from 7000 feet up to almost 7900 feet. On the flats, these were fine. The shoes are easy to put on, but sometimes the binding got loose and needed readjusting. Also good on steep inclines thanks to the heel lift. Will definitely look for that feature in a future purchase. I'm about 187lbs, plus a 10 lb pack. I ordered the largest size (better safe than sorry), but upon reflection, think a size smaller would have worked better. The shoes are big and I did trip a few times from stepping on my own shoes (I wear a size 11.5 shoe). Hoping that a smaller size will not sacrifice my ability to stay above the snow. Going down steeper descents, there was some sliding. How much I can blame the shoes vs. technique, I can't say, but I never fell. Poles were nothing special, but I was impressed on how well the snow baskets kept the poles from falling through the ice (because they are very tiny). However, complaints about the straps are well founded. They are pretty worthless unless you are tiny. All in all, if you are looking for a pair for an easy hike in the snow, then these will do the job. For something more adventurous, you will probably look to upgrade sooner rather than later.

These were great shoes. You definitely need a boot not snowboard boots. But over all worked amazing. The bag didn’t hold up well though. But maybe cause my boots were in there as well? But I figured why not make it a full functional bag. Otherwise I’d buy again.

The snowshoes were put in the bag with the snow/ice Kleats facing OUT ... and they poked right through the snowshoe bag... The Gaiters were much toooo small They barely fit me ... I'm only 5.1 ...He is 5.9 .... : (

I am so excited to see the overall quality of these Snowshoes seems to be great! One of our poles is missing its star grip so I am hopeful the seller will make good on this small issue? With that said these Snowshoes look to be everything I'd hoped for and am excited to give them a good test ASAP!
