Wears very fast
Size: 9" x 12" x 2"
Bought this foam pad for reverse felting because the wool pad's fibers get pulled through with my colored wools (go-figure).... Aggressive needles will grate this foam like parmesan cheese. Used for two small projects, and 25% of the face is worn down into a pit. Love the idea, but perhaps an open celled rubber-foam would prove more resilient.

Say what you will, it's a pad and it works
Size: 9" x 12" x 2"
I use this pad consistently. No, it's not fancy but gets the job done. You have to practice, though. There is a learning curve even though it's basically just a piece of foam. You need to clean it after every time you finish with a color otherwise it can be a mess and your wool will mix together with the last wool that was worked on the mat. Just pull off the excess wool and you should be fine. Good value, easy to use. No frills but works.

Great For Customized Use
Size: large
I used this foam and a tool box to create a low humidity box to store my camera gear. After spending several hundred dollars repairing a lens that developed fungus, I now try to control the humidity of the lenses. I have refrigerator like container that controls temp and humidity, but it is too small to hold all my gear. I don't really have the room for another (nor did I want to spend the money) so I built one with this foam, a tool box, and the moisture absorbing packets.

so I have zero expertise or knowledge to know if this is a good one or not
Size: 9" x 12" x 2"
Sorry for my other review - I sometimes wonder what a person is thinking when they review things. I clicked to review a can opener, and this was changed in its place! So sorry if that one shows up... I am only beginning in learning to felt, so I am unable to review this. I am gathering my materials to begin, so I have zero expertise or knowledge to know if this is a good one or not. I wish they offered a review category that allows a person to not rate something for that reason...
