This has a ton of barely legal retro style games, and no illegal ROMS like other devices. So buy knowing that the games are all clones, and not original copyrighted software. Aside form that, it is a nice stocking stuffer, or something to keep in a purse or on your desk etc. Build quality is not bad for the price, and it is good for killing some time here and there. You could even consider it a challenge to play all 160 xD. ... show more

I am autistic and the screen brightness on this device causes me actual pain. It is so bright that it shines through the plastic shell of the device under low light, and you can literally use the screen as a flashlight. There is no way to change the brightness level, in fact there are no device settings at all. It's incredibly irritating that the game automatically powers off and resets your progress after just one minute of being idle. No way to change that either, because... no settings. Equally irritating is that the device does not remember what volume level it was at when last powered on. I bought this device so I'd have an alternative to scrolling on my phone while waiting at appointments or rest time at the gym; there is simply no way I can use it for that purpose because of the disruptive default startup volume. The controls are not intuitive. On every gaming console I've ever played on, the A button is the equivalent of an Enter key, and the B button goes back to the menu. This is pretty universal. This thing however, does not work that way; the B button works as expected, taking you back to the menu from a game, but the A button has zero function outside the games. You can't use it to select the games like you would on literally every other gaming device ever made. No, you have to use the start button on the side, which is the same shape and size as the volume control button. The form factor on this thing sucks, there's really no other way to put it. And it's due to the mind-boggling choice of being powered by 3 AAA batteries. I get wanting to be retro and all but non-reusable battery waste should have been left in the past. This thing would be half as thick if it were USB rechargeable, I measured and it's twice as thick as my Switch Lite. I was hoping this would be easily pocket-able. As pointed out by TweeterMan287 on YouTube, some of the games are unplayable, either from broken control schemes or being seemingly unfinished. Many games are redundant as well. I implore you to watch TweeterMan's review video before buying this device, I really wish I did. The review is 3 years old, but I tested the problem games for myself and they have not been fixed. ... show more
