For some reason, if I'm at the beach, I prefer to use one of these compression shirts to get in the water. It fits comfortable, doesn't retain excessive water and dries off pretty quickly. Can also use this shirt when working out.

I really wanted my husband to like it because he needed a swim shirt as he tends to get sunburned pretty quickly. Unfortunately it might be a preference issue with this shirt but i order 2 sizes and both fit a little too tight almost 0 different between the L and the XL.

The shirt is comfortable and somewhat adjustable around the waist with the drawstrings. It is well made and seems to be strong fabric. It blocks UV well. It is not breathable fabric, so it holds in a lot of heat. This will be helpful in the water, but not on the beach or poolside. It runs small so be sure to size up at least 2 sizes.

This shirt is very nice overall. The weight of the fabric is on the thick side so I would expect it to well as a rash guard and swim shirt. I got it to use as a sun shirt so it is a bit too thick for my purposes. The sizing runs small. I usually wear size small but this small was too tight, almost fits like a compression shirt. If you want a sun shirt that's loose I would definitely order one size (or even two sizes) up from what you normally wear. The colors are nice as well. Overall a good value and I would recommend.

this runs a bit tight and even on smaller people still hugs the body. its made well and breathes it offers protection and doesn't get hot. easy to laundry and doesn't show signs of shrinking or fading

Bear in mind this shirt is made for swimming and similar water sports; it's not a jersey. The fit is meant to be very snug and the sizing chart reflects that. Still, some caution when ordering is advised. I am a six feet two inch 190+ pound ectomorphic male with concomitant arm length. I usually order shirts in size 16 with 36 inch arm lengths when such an option is available, or Large/Tall in Alpha sizing. Had I followed the recommendations (above, in the photos) I would have ordered the Large size swim shirt and it would have busted at the seams the first time I put it on. Experience has taught me to be skeptical of the stated sizes of clothing of all types made in China. As it is, I ordered the XL (extra large) and it's right at the limits of proper fit, being very snug throughout the shoulders, chest and trunk, just barely adequate length, and a bit short in the arms. It does give the impression of being a well-made garment, in appearance not at all unattractive as swimwear, with triple-stitched seams and high quality of the fabric, sewing, design and overall construction. The tag is amusing: It literally says "From Norway" with immediately underneath two Chinese logograms in a tiny font which the Android camera translates as the same phrase. All the sewn-in tags state Made in China. I haven't had the chance to try it in the water, yet. In summary, I would say this is a well-made sun protection water sports shirt and the only hurdle is determining the proper size for your individual fit.
