Every now and then I try my hand at writing actual music so I decided to get these for that purpose. They will do the job. The quality of the paper definitely stands out. With each book having 100 pages these will last me a while. I am a self taught ear trained musician so I don't write much, just now and then. They look really cool with the treble clef on the cover. I think these would work well for a student to write lessons or exercises in, because of the portability.

This notebook is good, but there’s room for improvements. The cover is more like thicker paper, not hard cover (in case this matters to you). The staff lines are printed nicely. The pages are good enough, but I think it’ll help if it’s just a bit thicker. Reason being, I tried writing in it with pen, and you can easily see the writing on the other side. So I’d recommend using pencil if you want to use double side page. Other than that, this is a good simple notebook for jotting your music ideas on.

Being in school or working on music otherwise, it can be great to have some paper to record the notes on. This paper hits the spot. It is economical and the size is great. Easy to see and work with, I would recommend it to others.

I play the piano on a very mediocre level and these notebooks will help me tremendously. I generally "dumb down" a lot of the songs I play from books and these notebooks will allow me to write down those "dumbed down" versions of the songs. I also like making up little pieces sometimes so I can also write those down so I won't forget them later on. These seem to be great quality and I can see how they would work just as well for serious musicians/songwriters as they do for a person like me who occasionally plays around on the piano for fun.

This packet of notebooks will work just fine, but could be better. How? The covers AND paper inside could be thicker. If you're notating music, your paper gets a stronger "workout" than if you're just writing on the pages. The pages themselves could be perforated: I am a music teacher who has assignments, and I can't really recommend something that isn't perforated with an easy tear-off, as it's hard to hand it in without risking tearing the paper. The price is a bit high for what is offered: I have manuscript notebooks I assign for my students that cost less. All that said, this is a nice product for personal use. The notebooks are attractive and the spiral binding is convenient. If you like the design and don't need extra-thick paper, this is a good option.
