It wasn’t that bad to assemble, as someone who isn’t very good at handy work. The instruction manual was a tad confusing, and the print and pictures are very small, but I figured it out and everything was assembled in maybe 45 minutes, would’ve probably been 30 minutes had my toddler not been trying to “help” haha. Screws ended up with some significant stripping which was disappointing. The unit itself is fine, there was a tiny wobble which I was able to fix by making sure every side was super tight. I’m not sure how well this will hold up, but we are saving up for a better dresser for our little ones. In the meantime, we are using my husband’s old dresser, as well as this, for a changing station and I think the two together will be just fine! This holds quite a bit as far as diapers and other changing essentials. I wouldn’t trust it with anything heavy, as it says in the instruction manual. ... show more

I purchased this since I needed storage next to my diaper changing table to place diapers, wipes, creams, and changes. This is not a fancy dresser, but did exactly what I wanted it to do. I have a separate dresser for all his clothes, but I pull out the one I intent to use next to be placed on top of this organizer so that I don't have to search for it during rushed diaper change (my son cries every diaper change). Pros Easy assembly (my hubby did it in 10 minutes, but if it was up to me probably 30 min). Stores Diaper, wipes, creams, and changes on top for easy reach for night time diaper change (when you are rushing, it's perfect). I like open storage, in front for towels, mittens, hats. When you have newborn, speedy reach by one hand for everything is a key. It matches with my white nursery furniture theme. Con It's not forever furniture, does not look fancy or anything. I would probably place it inside the closet for towel storage when he stop using diaper. Not sure why people thought it was difficult assembly or tilted. We had no such problem with this furniture. It fits my personality (hate looking for things inside the closet or drawer while baby is crying for diaper change. Ok, if you get this on sale plus a registry discount like I did, then it's worth the trouble. (I paid about $15.) However, it was around $30 a week before I bought it & I would have returned it at that price. This took me a little over an hour to put together. Given that I did stop to rest my hand from the force I had to use to screw in the screws. Some of the screws still won't go in all the way & I think I stripped one of them trying to get it all the way in. Some went in crooked due to bad hole drilling from the manufacturer, but still hold it together. And some went in fine with all my strength guiding them. The tiny screws that go into the white metal bars at the top & bottom didn't fit (except one), so I used tape to keep the bars together before sliding them into the fabric. Tape works fine because the bars are also surrounded in the fabric and semi-screwed on each end to the wooden posts. I have this 4 stars because it is sturdy enough and holds a lot of items. It's the only organizer of it's kind that I could find. I had one with my first son 3yrs ago and don't remember it being this difficult to assemble. But it's cute and good for a nursery, so I repurchased this time around. ... show more

Despite all the bad reviews if your on the fence get this. Is it high quality no. But is it sturdy and good for storage yes. The pockets will droop over time but what do you expect. If it bothers you that much the inswrts can easily be reinforced or replaced for a couple bucks at Walmart. Not a big deal. A lot of people complain about assembly but it not bad. I put this together 9 months pregnant with no muscle with ease in about 20-30 min. I’ve had this with two kids now and this has been the best of all the storage things I rigged up. The price has gone up since the first time I bought it but it was still worth is. You can use this for for so many different things once past the nursery age. It’s been clothe storage, toy storage, game storage, bathroom storage and my first lasted several years so once together they grow with your kid and have so many functions you can make it work for. People always want ikea quality for Walmart prices. This is a fabric storage shelf it’s not supposed to be super high quality. But it’s convenient and great for simple storage needed for a newborn, small kid or household item. Definitely recommend this for those with limited space, no nursery, or even a nursery in your bedroom. This solves the storage problem without big dressers and high expense items.
